Shoes of today are designed with specific sports in mind.
If you want to run, buy a running shoe. If you want to walk, get walking shoe. These are very different sports that use different muscles. Thus, the padding in the shoes are different. Running shoes tend to have more rigid base to support the feet, but walking shoes tend to be softer and allows the foot to contour and change shape.
Never heard of badminton shoes either, but having played badminton in my early life, I absolutely can not imagine that the muscles used for badminton is the same as the running. There are a lot of lateraly and back-and-forth movement for badminton. Running is one direction and not too much lateraly movement. Definitely not the same. I would not try - and risking injuries.

Short Answer - Yes. they're all shoes,
Long Answer - No, Badminton shoes should only be used for playing on an indoor court. There are several reasons...
1. For badminton, one wants maximum grip. when you use the same shoes to run and walk, the shoes lose their rubber grip and get dirty which also effects their grip.
2. Baddy shoes are lower to the ground and built for constant jumping and lateral movement, unlike running shoes which are higher off the ground and made for running in one direction, forward.
3. Baddy shoes are expensive!

I would not used badminton shoes to do anything other than that. Also, I would wear an alternate pair upon arriving at the playing area. I have a pair of yonex and it costs around 90. You dont want to ruin it by walking outside and picking up rocks and debris unless you dont care about that. Yonex's material appears to be more fragile than the Victor and of Wilson's that I have used.
