And what religion/cult is it?

There was a point during my years of studying various spiritual practices where I understood "belief" can only take you so far. 'Belief' is the beginning of the road to actually 'knowing'. The question of belief in God became irrelevant, I was moved to KNOW God.

What's the difference?

One can believe there exists the color blue. But, if he's never seen the color blue, he's merely speculating. However, once he's seen the color blue, belief is no longer necessary. He KNOWS what blue is. He learns too that it's impossible to describe the color blue to anyone who hasn't seen it. The best he can do is describe what it's like. Better still, he can motivate other's to discover the color blue for themselves and not rely on his words alone.

"You call me Lord, but you do not do the things I say do."

So what we see among us are factions attempting to convince others what is or is not so, instead of realizing the necessity of being witnesses to what they know to be true by motivating others to seek Truth for themselves.

You see, Truth needs no justification; it speaks for Itself.

There is no "religion " at all in what I believe, only faith in what I see as my path. I believe in a "devine creator" that did in fact create the universe and all its occupants (most people call that creator god) I however do not believe that the creator set forth all the "rules and regulations" that have been stamped on "human kind" by the various "religions of the world. I also do not believe that a"devine creator" would have need nor want validation by its creations in the form of "worship". And I am absolutley sure that as a "devine being" The creator doesent want to hear the constant "whineing" that comes from its human creation's.
I think that our Creator (or god if you will) wants each person to seek there own path in life and wishes for us to reach our potential as human beings. I believe the creator wants us to have "faith" in ourselves, in our fellow humans, and in the future. But I also believe that the creator did not nor ever has intended for us to form or follow "religious paths".

Well I guess my morals have been influenced by the religion I was brought up with. My religion doesn't believe in the existence of a God who created the world or anything, so we are atheists. But I believe in what we are told because the message is basically of humanity, and also treating animals, and nature with the utmost respect.

Religion: Jainism.

I don't follow any religion really, anymore, but did attend the Baptist Church as a teenager. I agree with aspects of Baptism and Unitarianism. I oppose all and any Christian fundamentalism but much can be learned from the example of Jesus as a prophet. A deep belief in God does not prevent one from being progressive. It is the spirit that matters not canonical laws, headgear and obsessions over diet, though I will not eat pork. Society should be secular but I am not against the occasional reading of the Bible at school, public prayer before a holiday, Christmas and Chanukkah displays and mention of one's religious values, carols at Christmas, handing out of Bibles by the Gideons who do a drop-off at school....

When it comes to marriage, I am not against interfaith marriage but if, say, for example you are a dedicated orthodox Muslim or Jew, it might be easier for you to marry a convert or follower of your own faith. If you are more moderate, it is less of an issue.

death does not exist. we are not souls, we are the creation, we only change form. in the 3rd dimention are we seperated from each other through physical bodies, when the body dies we become one again with the creation. Jesus is the true God that became flesh, to reunite us with the great order divine after we seperated ourselves from it. we are one. when we exept Jesus as our savior then we once again connect to God to become like him.we can only think and have emotions while we are in a physical body. that is why Jesus told the pharissees that God is a God of the living and not of the dead.Read john 17 verse 21 where Jesus prayed for the people, and also the devil is the god of fear that is the one in the church that so many people pray to as God. God is not a diety, but a concept.we are gods read john 10 verse 33 to 36 where Jesus called us gods.and John 8 verse 44 where he called the god of the church the devil. all our experiences die with our body for us to go into the collective consciousness.the next baby that is born have all our experiences and then start life out to gain its own.If i will give my life for you to protect yours, all i actualy do is to shift experience.by exchanging my body for yours, because we are actualy the same. we are one.no heaven and no hell. read revelations20 and 21.there is no such thing as reincarnation, because when the body dies the soul dies as well.it is only God incarnation.you the essence of life, the diety that is is all that matters. you are because i am and God is.if you are out of the equation then nothing exist.7 billion people but only one God ,I AM

because it is facts. i will stake my life on my beliefs
im a non christian faithfull humanistic follower of Jesus

the more i read the r@s answers the more i see people changing from christianity to humanity

Wicca a special relationship with the gods and tapping into the divine powers, and strong energies of the earth. true religious tollerance. A feel of control over my life. And it fun, and free. No certain rules I have to follow, other than 3 fold and the reed, freedom to exspress myself completely.

I believe as I do because I see no reason not to believe as I do. I see no decent reason to believe there is any divine being running the show, so I just don't, I don't feel any immediate need to explain away the universe, it just is, and it (being existance itself, not necessarily our universe containing all of its mass and energy) always will be, because always is by definition all times in which it exists...

I dont believe in Christianity because it is the religion of George Bush. I believe in the power of LOVE because it excludes no one and gives value to all human life.

I'll believe anything for which there is adequate evidentiary support. (That is the standard scientific approach, and I am a scientist.) Since there is no evidentiary support for any sort of god, I'm an atheist. For more on this, see:
