Let me get this straight...
You are under 16 years of age and you were issued a civil citation yet your parents weren't notified? Don't bet on it.
Tell your parents. Trust them to guide you through this. That's what parents are for.
And expect to get an *** chewing! Thats also what parents are for.

If you don't go to court or pay the ticket prior to the court date, the judge will issue a warrant for your arrest for Failure to Appear. That's an additional charge beyond the helmet charge and will land you a larger fine as well as in jail, which will make your parents even less happy than the original ticket.

Go to Court.

Face the music. Show it to your folks and pay the ticket so you don't have problems in the future. Then wear your helmet! What were you thinking?

A bench warrant for your non-appearance/non-payment shall be issued by a judge.

Further, if you wait to pay the fine, you will have to pay penalties and interest on the fine amount.

The next time the cops hassle you, they shall have the right to arrest you, as well.

Pay the fine before they pick you up.
