I know everyone is going to say "take her to the vet"... but i just wanted to let you know i'm PLANNING on it, it's just going to be sunday tomorrow so i have to wait... i was just wondering your opinion.
My dog's kinda icky feeling. She sneezes, like... every 5 minutes, she's got a constant drippy nose... snot everywhere. She's even having what sounds like little doggie allergy attacks where here sneezes/coughs are really bad. At first my aunt told me it's probably just cause it's a highly pollenated time of year... but now i'm reall worried about her.
Still eating/drinking regular.. does anyone have an idea of what's going on? Any idea on how to fix some of this before we get to the vet.. i mean for the time in between?

Sounds like allergies-there is a doggie flu out there but I can't recall the symptoms- Can you take her temp? It's simple really. I use one of those digital thermometers. I think doggie temps or normal between 100 and 102 .3 (?) but look it up- if she's running warm chances are that she is trying to fight off something (infection) - also- sometimes their temps can drop below the norm and that is a concern as well- the most imporatnt thing is to keep her hydrated until you can get to the vet. Have her drink as much water as she can-

How old is your dog? Does you dog have all it's vaccinations? How long has this been going on? Your dog could have something up it's nose like a foxtail. If you really think it's an allergy, it is safe to give your dog Benadryl. The human drug. Start with 25 mg if the dog is average size. How big is your dog?

Let her drink and sleep as much as she wants. It sounds like a cold.
There are emergency vet places that are open 24/7. Every pet owner should have the name and location of one nearby. It does not sound necessary in this case, though.

I would give her Benadryl ( regular Benadryl, with NO acetominophen or decongestants.) The dose is 1 mg.per pound of body weight,so a 25 lb.dog would get one 25 mg.capsule.For the cough,if it's bad,you can give Robitussin DM,also 1mg. per pound. Also, you can give her warm chicken or beef broth to drink, this will help her feel better.

You can give your dog benedryl for the allergies. You don't say how big she is, but one tablet for a big dog and half a tablet for a small dog. It will make her a little bit sleepy, but it will also help with the sneezing and runny nose.

What color is the stuff coming from her nose? Is it clear? Clear would indicate allgeries. Is it yellow, green? Infection. Most likely upper respiratory infection, or better known as kennel cough,.

She may have a cold or fever. Treat her like you would with a person who has a cold or fever.
