Yes, and its evil

yes, spells work, but not always in the way a person might think or want them to. And spells are nothing like Hollywood portrays them. For real spell work, you need training.

And I can just see the Christians coming out of the wood work to jump all over this perfectly good question. I would ask the Christians, unless you are a Christian Witch, to please maintain a respectful silence on this subject about which I am confident you know nothing.

But they won't. They just love to try to tell Witches about Witchcraft.

It's not what you would expect... certainly nothing like on 'Charmed'. It's actually very akin to Christian praying- it's just in a different form.... both of which are based on positive thought and visualization (btw: usually in spellcasting, there is a prayer involved). You know the old proverb? "Whether you think you can or can't, you're right."

It's amazing what positive thought will do.

yes spells can actually work. you cast them with pure intentions and truely believe in the power you have, and the devine powers of the universe then what you desire will most likely come to you. And NO IT IS NOT EVIL, not so long as you follow the biggest wiccan law "And shall it harm none, do as thy will" and remember the 3 fold... everything you put out into the cycle comes back 3 times over... its kinda like Karma.

And Christians who want us to prove our spells work... prove your prayers work!!!

Yes, However the power that is in use is the power and authority given to each individual by God. And when we use our God given power for selfish things instead of healing the sick etc. we are abusing our power and authority.

Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

A good way to upset the 'Wiccans' I've found is to ask for proof when it comes to spells.

But for any Wiccan out there (or anyone else who believe their spells work) the Randi Foundation will give you $1 million dollars for proving your 'spells' actually work.

$1 million is on the table, so you have to ask yourself why haven't any of them come forward with any proof.

Well it's dumb luck really, if you hit the right mix of chemicals then you're bound to have some nice effects.

Love potions were probably just big jugs of pheromons.

Magic spells - no, but when you memorize a poem or a mathematical formula you can recite it, and sometimes that feels like magic.
