Because they don't understand how God did it. It's out of our mental grasp.

Mind showing me where it says that God created something from nothing? It's not there, all that is there is the English translation "In the beginning . . ." Are you sure that indicates the beginning of everything? For this world it was the beginning, but things happened before that, Christ indicates as much in John 17:5 where he say , "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." That says to me that things were happening before the world was. The reason I mention this is because one of the basic laws of physics is that matter can not be created or destroyed and I think God follows that law.
We Christians would get along better with scientists if we understood science a little better. I love science and study it often. It is through science that I believe that I get closer to God by understanding the universe the way he does, now it is at best a cursory understanding but it's closer than I was. As a man of science and see the marvelous order and in creation and it lets me know that God knows better the laws of science than we do and with that he was able to create the universe. Did you know that at the center of every galaxy we have been able to see is a super massive black hole that has exactly 1/2 of 1% of the total mass of the galaxy? Sounds like a perfect recipe for creating a galaxy, maybe I'm wrong and it's just one of our current misunderstandings that we unfortunately run into so many times in science. In my opinion one of the first things we will be doig in heaven will be learning how God does what he does and the full understanding of how the universe works, I cannot believe that he gave man this great curiosity to discover the mysteries of the world around him for nothing.

We cant control pure energy (that I know of). Your right tho, man has tried to create elements but they are all unstable and only last a few seconds at best. Its a waste of money to try and recreate life when God has already done it for us. We should use that money to solve real problems.

Scientists have already successfully created several different elements. In fact, pretty much everything after Atomic Number 104 is synthetic.
You should pick up a science magazine once in a while.

If you really hate sciences that much then shut off everything electronic, electrical and quit using medicines. Please feel free to reject everything that science has created in your life and go back to wearing fig leaves and living in a cave.
I respect your right to believe Ken Ham when he claims people rode dinosaurs around. I respect your right to believe that the universe was created 6,040 years ago at 9:00 am on a Tuesday.
Please respect my right to believe a bit differently than you do and to value the results of the scientific method of enquiry.
Honestly, please, if you want to reject science go all the way instead of just rejecting the parts that upset your Bible teacher.

much thought is going into this and they have come up with duplicating molecules but as we all know these things take large amounts of time and money . the amount of energy to accomplish this is greater than you fathom and the amount of time is beyond a billion years does that put it into some proportion for you . read Victor Stenger on the particle physics of nothing and it's unstable nature befor the highly speculated big bang .

Prove God created them, because from our observations the elements come from matter which has always existed.

Your assumptions (that God created the elements, that man can create stable elements) are so absurd, I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for you or try to educate you.

Your understanding of how God did it came from religion. Our God Concept (religion) came from ancient people whose highest intellect told them that the earth was flat. Would you trust your medical treatment to that ancient intellect? I doubt it because you realize that these people didn't know what was going on. They also believed that earthquakes were caused by underground wind.
