Yeah I know, weird question. But I was randomly looking something up and people have said that you can't die in a dream because you would die in real life or you wake up right before it because of shock or something like that. But if you are witnessing yourself (not really living as yourself in the dream, just watching yourself...does that make sense?) then it's fine.
But I've died three times in my dreams:
Once I had a dream that I was babysitting and people were running around in my diningroom and all of a sudden a book case fell on me and the baby I was holding and I was like choking in real life and my dream and I died, but I woke up right after.
And I had another random dream that my sister and a friend were fighting in a graveyard and I turned into a black skeleton and died and was buried (random, I know).
Lastly, I died because George of the Jungle's lion ate me and left my stomach and legs left...and yeah, there was my demise...
Anyone else die in a dream before?

yeah i died once in my dream. i turned to a ghost and went through logs and stuff. it wasn't that fun. but what IS fun is being a vampire.

that was one of the best dreams i've ever had. flying is THE BOMB!
anyways, i honestly think it all comes down to imagination. you are trying to come up with logical things which is why although dreams seem weird when you wake up, it was making perfect sense at that time. if you are really really scared of dying, then the death process, in itself, would be a major shock and wake you. but if the death was something really lame like mine was, i just continued on to make logical sense out of it and that was when i was ghostly.

I don't believe if you die in your dream you will die in real life. That is an old wives' tale.
I have died in dreams, usually when I become aware that I am dreaming and I come to the edge of a cliff and decide to jump off because I know I am dreaming and want to know what happens next. Usually I don't ever feel the impact when I hit the ground but instead an image of a skull flashes in my face.

In my dream I was in a car accident and I died. I saw my body while I was floating above the scene. I knew that it was me lying there on the ground, but I did not feel any sorrow. After I woke-up I felt bad and until now, when I pass the place where the accident occurred, I drive very slow and look to every side to make sure my dream will not com true, even so I dreamed this many, many years ago.............

It is obvious that if you die in a dream, you do not die in real life, because you and others HAVE had such dreams and are obviously still alive! I have also heard that if you dream you are falling and in the dream, actually hit the ground, that you really die. Well, I've hit the ground in dreams before, and I'm still alive and well!
I have not dreamed I have actually died, but I dream that I am dying. I usually wake up because it is so scary though.

Yes, I've died quite a few times in a dream.
I died in a dream about a Tupperware Party a friend of mine gave and then I watched the rest of the dream as a ghost.

I've died in my dreams before. Turns out i would become a ghost. Then, i could go thru walls and people woldn't notice me. so i became a peeping tom and went in my neighbours toilet to watch them bathe and i finally stopped when satan approached me and said study till you die!!! freaky. anyways you wouldn't die in real life. some might say that death in dreams means u'll live for a long time and be remembered forever.

i have never died in a dream personally, but i know friends that have. i always dream about the very last secound before i die then i kind of force myself awake. but i have never actually DIED.

ive died in a dream a bull that couldnt be killed horned me through the chest and trampled my lifeless body (gory i know)
