It is not for me, or anyone else, to decide who gets into heaven, that is for God and God alone.

AMDG has the perfect answer give that person 10 points.
The problem with us is we try to dictate what God should do, but all power is with God and he is the Master of the whole universe.
If God wants to put all Christians to Hell and all Atheists in to Heaven no body can do a thing about it.
So we should stop trying to bring down the Majesty of God to earthly levels.
What about the people before Jesus who don't even know who Jesus is, people in the times of Noah, Lot, Abraham and all those other nations and tribes throughout this world before the birth of Christ? are the destined for hell?

You answerd your own question!!! As you said. "the bible states the only way into heaven is to accept Jesus".
It does not say that you must be "christian".
It most definetly does not state anywhere in the bible that a person must follow any type of religion. It says only that you must accept Jesus as your savior.
Find your faith!!
lose your religion!

in case you have self assurance which you should upload some thing to what Jesus did on the flow, to get into Heaven, you're no longer a Christian, for the reason which you do no longer understand what being saved is. Jesus is the way, the certainty and the existence, NO guy CAN come to the father without Jesus! so the respond on your question is, NO non-christians won't be able to get into Heaven. If doing reliable deeds could get you into Heaven, Jesus does no longer of had to go through on the flow to your sins. The blood of Jesus became used to pay to your sins and reliable works won't pay to your sins.

Who can possibly be an authority on this subject? Why do we use Faith as an answer to everything that we don't know or cannot understand? Faith is not a substitute for knowledge. We cannot talk about Heaven and who gets into it as if we knew anything about it. We might as well ask children if they think that somewhere in the universe there are planets made of chocolate. I am sure five year olds have an answer for that.

A Baptist preacher told me a good joke one time:
A man died and reached the pearly gates. Saint Peter was there to meet him. Saint Peter took him on a tour of heaven. “Over there are the Catholics, Muslims and Hindus. Over that way are the Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses and some of the Protestant religions. In that direction is the Pagans, Buddhist, and all the others who were good people in life” The man said to Saint Peter “All of these people are living next to each other in harmony. Who is in that area surrounded by that 100 foot wall?” Saint Peter laughed and said “Oh, that’s just the Baptist they think they are the only people up here.”

Be careful and discern all the answers with The Bible. You'll get many opinions, but remember, these are man's opinions which are worthless when all is said and done in YOUR life. The truth is in God's Word and in His Son, Jesus who IS The Way, The Truth and The Life and no one can get to God except thru His Son, Jesus. The truth is that no one that does not accept Jesus and His Salvation Plan, will not enter into His Kingdom. You can be sure if you discern it with God's Word. God bless you

that's what we're taught in our churches, but the thing is, we get into heaven THROUGH Jesus Christ, not just by knowing His name. I think that on Judgement Day, or whatever you want to call it, God will be standing there with His Son and ask "Do you know so-and-so" and Jesus will say "yes, and they loved and served me," "yes, but they knew me not," "no, but they loved as best they could" or "no, no matter how hard i tried, they would not know me" so i think that heaven is going to be full of people who tried their best, regardless of faith, religion, or creed

If there is a heaven then it's a pretty lonely and empty place since most Christians that I know are the worst hypocrites in the world. The last perfect person that walked this earth got nailed to a cross - so he's up there alone.

God looks into everyone's hearts and if someone has never heard of Jesus in his/her entire life and has been living a good life then they may go to heaven. But if someone hears of Jesus and completely rejects him of their own free will and go out and kill others, then God will have a harsher reaction.
