What software can I use to partition a non-partitioned XP drive without re-formatting? So that I won't have the trouble to transfer data. Thanks!

PartitionMagic will do it. Also, you could download the free partitioning software utility for Linux (fips.exe I think) which will also do it.

Yes....as far as I know, it is possible, but what the computer does, is that it creates a virtual partition, which means, it is not real....wat it does is....it converts a folder to a drive and whatever u put in the new drive, is recorded in the older drive, still u can try the following link:
http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0-1-0.html?qt=Partition&author=&titlename=&desc=&dlcount=&daysback=&swlink=&gfiletype=&os=128&li=49&dlsize=&ca=2001

Even though the link is not fully visible, it will work
Not all the softwares r free

go to control panel -> administrative tools -> computer management, then choose disk management from console tree

From your 'disk management' you only need to right click at the unallocated space which show in the diagram, then choose 'new partition'. In the properties, click next, then you need to fill how many disk space and what file system file you want for your new partition, after that click ok
