Passion actually lacks clarity, as in "crimes of passion," where an individual perceives a situation as unresolvable and therefore murders or commits suicide.
I do not believe that love, in its purest essence, makes us commit ridiculous crimes, unless wearing wild outfits in the bedroom could be considered a fault (my sweetheart would definitely disagree!). No, when love is pure and rises above mere passion (it can still be passionate, though), then nothing could cause anyone to commit a fault.

1. passion for fashion (vanity): going into serious credit card debt to buy clothes, makeup, etc.
