not some place that is made and designed as Hell, just a complete absence of His presence. As in "Elvis has left the building!" Would it be earth without the sun, metaphoricaly speaking? or do you think it is a specific place?

No , it is the absence of you . God will always be . We may not be. Hell isn't created yet. At the Great White Throne judgment a place is created to throw satan in and after the judgment those that are judged accordingly will be thrown in with Satan. And then the whole place is thrown into the lake of fire and then satan and Hades will be no more just as it is written. Now you can make the call . Is that temporary place hell or is the lake of fire hell. No matter how you slice it , in the end hell = grave.

I used to think exactly that. But then the Orthodox theology seemed to make much more sense to me. It says, really, WHERE is there a place that God is absent from? If God is omnipresent, then God must be everywhere, by definition, even in hell. They say, then, that Heaven and Hell are really the same place: the overwhelming, undeniable presence of God. It is the disposition of the individual which makes them perceive that as either heaven or hell.

Peace to you.

Although I believe Hell is a specific place, I have to agree that the absence of God would indeed be hell.

No, hell and god don'texist. Hell is just a phantom place made up by some preacher in order to keep his parishioners in line.

Hell is the complete separation of Christ, see the New Testament of the Bible, some of the books that Paul wrote.
