It sounds like submissive urination or possibly just that she's over excited (some dogs lose control of their bladders when they're excited).
Is she pinning her ears, pulling back her face, looking away, and appearing tense when she pees, or is it more like she's super excited to see you, bouncing all over, and then she pees (or some combination?).
If she's young, she'll probably grow out of it. Try to be a calm but not scary presence. If she pees if you scold her or discipline her, look for other ways of dealing with problems.
Don't scold her for urinating, since this will only make the problem worse! Good luck!

Sometimes if they are excited or nervous this will happen. My little dog used to do the same thing from excitement. When coming home from being away for a while try to ignore her until she becomes calm and then pat her etc. If she's doing it consistantly though, there must be some other problem that your vet has not picked up....

I have a female Chihuahua. She does this too. I took her to the vet (a long time ago) and the vet told me that when a dog -usually happens to females- does that, there is not much that we can do about it. we have all adapted to this...if we have to pick her up and she is nervous or something...we stick a towel under her first! Just try working around it. She may grow out of the worst part of it as she ages (and is less timid). Good luck!
PS: If someone comes over and goes to pick her up...you may want to warn them:) Lol!

Try taking her out for really long walks around 3 times a day so she has nothing to pee with! =) She probably has bladder problems. This happens when the dog is holding it in for to long as to when you dont walk her. Buy her special foods especially for bladder problem dogs.

Did you have the vet check for a urinary tract infection or diabetes?? Drinking excess water and excess urination can be behavioral or a sign of a serious medical issue.
If it is not a medical condition it is probably submissive urination which means your dog is very submissive to you and needs her confidence built up.

when a dog pees from your touch it usually means that they are excited to see you or that they are scared. try to call jenna from a distance with a treat in your hand and let her come to you- that way you know her boundaries and she feels comfortable and able to approach you at her own will. do this anytime you want her to come to you so that she gets used to you giving her praise when she does come. it will gradually become easier and you can move from treats to none at all and simply just praise with a good pet. if she comes to you then she'll calm down.

She's urinating submissively. Don't get mad or punish her, or you'll make it worse. She does it cause she sees you as the boss, and she's trying to show you she submits to you. Usually young dogs grow out of it, so just let it go. I know it's hard, though. Try to do things to build up her confidence, like teaching her to sit, down, etc. and then praising her and giving her treats for it.

It is submissive urination.. She needs to get more confidence. Ignore the pee, and don't give her attention when she is acting submissive or anxious..

Maybe talk to a trainer. She probably feels anxious or excited by you, and some young pups/or little dogs cannot hold it and it controls their little lives lol.

I (and the owner) grew to become into devastated.
