300?? Wow that is a lot!! Do you have MIchael's craft stores near you? Sometimes they have 40% off framing coupons. Is the poster dated or marked in any way? If not, why not just buy yourself a poster frame and pop it in yourself? You can buy them anywhere - Target, Walmart ... Pax - C

No way Jose! I have this poster too, but I would never think of spending that kind of money on a frame! This actual shot is from the "Summer of Love, 1967, at the Monteray Pop Festival. Unless your poster is an original and I doubt that, then the Wal-mart idea is the best!

Do you have 300 to spend? I wouldn't pay that much even if I had it. There are many, many others less expensive ways to frame a poster, shop around, what's your hurry?, Jimmy was great, and his music still is, and will always be, his innovations were superb, and his legacy incredible. Now, what kind of a poster is it? posters are a dime a dozen, you can now download almost any image from your computer. Technology has come so far, we can't catch up, and even if we did, we couldn't keep up. Get yourself a framing kit for 40 bucks and do it yourself. and buy your mom a nice present, I am sure she deserves it.

Are you planning to keep to poster for a long time? Or maybe just the next few? I'm assuming its 24 x 36- which yes, is a standard size and you could cheap out. But, if you're getting a custom frame, that doesn't seem like that bad of a price and your piece will be better protected and cared for.

A $300 frame for a $5 poster.

How about, $150 for an electric guitar, and $150 on lessons?

Or a $300 Certificate of deposit..that grows at 5% do the math.

Man, I've bought frames for movie posters for like ten dollars at wal-mart. Sure, it was plastic and not glass, but unless this is a true vintage poster it seems silly to me to protect the poster with a frame that is more than likely ten times the price of the poster it is supposed to be protecting. HAHA, wrap the frame in the poster to protect the frame...

It all comes down to the sentimental value of the piece. That said, you should be able to get it framed for less. $300 is a lot.

What is the poster worth to you? Does its value merit the expense? Where would you hang it? How proud of it are you? Do you want it displayed and preserved or are you happy with it as it presently is?

Yes right away if you don't want it to get torn up
