paygrade is easier to make in the Navy depending on your rate (choose your rate choose your fate). education is a toss up, depends on you but both are serious about tech stuff. Benefits... with the navy you get to travel and see alot and do alot that you could never do on your own unless you got mad money. Down side is the time away from the fam, not to bad if your single.
The Force is strong when it comes to living nice, and taking care of their people. The few bases that i've seen side by side, If i could have I would have lived on the Air Force base.

It is mostly the same. I would say the biggest difference being that my brother was in the Navy and I was in the Air Force I that in the Navy you tend to make rank faster. I went in the Air Force as and E-3 Airman First Class and made E-4 below the zone with in 6 months and I stayed at e-4 for the next 5 years. My brother made e-6 in the same amount of time. Air Force has better food and living conditions though.

Both are about the same.
Both have access to the Mongomery GI Bill and tuition assistance but the Air Force DOES offer an associates degree program through the Community Colege of the Air Force.
Promotion rates seem to be a bit faster in the Navy than the Air Force but it's easier to lose rank in the Navy.
Air Force doesn't have ship duty though so in that respect I think it's a bit better.
Basic treatment of personnel (quarters, chow halls, accomodations in deployed/TDY areas) the two have the best treatment of personnel over Army and Marines.
Then again I am a BIT biased as I served 13.5 years in the USAF before I was med. retired.

They both have the same benefits... as far as education the air force has tuition assistance and the G.I bill, the navy has both of those things but also has the Navy college fund which provides additional money for school. The Air Force has satellite campuses on base. The navy does as well and sometimes they will have classes help about ships. Paygrade is the same in all military services it is just a matter of how fast you are able to advance in the service which typically depends on your job and the need for that job. Air Force does not get sea pay but if you are in an airborne position you get pay for that.

They're both the same as far as benefits. The reason I joined the Navy, instead of the Air Force, is that in the Navy offers the most bang for the buck as far as world travel. In the 6 years I was in I went to Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Barbados, St. John's, Panama, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Israel, Egypt, and Dubai, UAE. In the same amount of time in the Air Force do you think that you would even go to half those places?
Oh, by the way in the U.S. I went to Hawaii, New York, twice went to Fort Lauderdale for spring break, and Pensacola.

the beautiful thing about the military is that every person gets the same basic pay for their grade and the same benefits. If that is all you are worried about...there are no worries :)
The air force has the reputation of being better with....quality of life for lack of better words, but they are 100 times more selective and much more competitive than the other branches. i do not know much about the navy...but your choice should be a bit easier now :)

They both offer the same military benefits, the same opportunity for education, and the rates for paygrade are the same throughout the services. For ex. an E-3 in the Navy gets paid the same as an E-3 in the AF or Marines or Coast Guard or Army.
You might want to look into what kind of job you want to do- that's where what they offer you differ
