I got a couple of weeks before going to the training. I'm really not sure of the currunt employment status because i'm not getting any money from the military right now until the day i JOIN. Unless the joining task is processed at training site, I'm not joined yet. So, shouldn't i supposed to get unemployment until I leave? I need a very correct information about it for me and my family.

Well call the unemployment office and don't tell them you joined the service just ask when your benefits would stop if you did. If they say right away then ask for a quickship if they say when you fill out your W4's or whatever you fill out to get paid in the military and gets in the system then it stops, well then that is when its stops, but they would be the the best ones to answer that

As long as you are in a non paying status you can still draw your benefits, When officially ship out the you would lose your benefits due to that your getting $$$. As far as anyone finding out look they will not find out unless you rat your self out, Have your parents call or when your last check comes after or before you ship then answer the question that you have found employment you won't get in any trouble.

as this is a UK based question I will give the advice I was told, that you can claim to the day that you leave for boot camp / basic..............along with ALL your other benefits etc, but you MUST send in a letter, get some one to post it the day you leave, keep a copy of it, stating that as from this date blah blah you have enlisted into the British Forces and as such are withdrawing from any and all assistance from the Government........[well that sort of thing, keep a copy and if you can send it recorded delivery]

when you say family, what you are meaning ??? what benefits do you get that are related to them??

regards and what are you going into then?

My boy, you are royally screwed. Because you are now gainfully employed. Your checks stop immediately upon getting a job and the military is a job!

You need to ask your recruiter. It's his job to answer these types of questions.
