I add that we should then remember to turn the signal OFF at the completion of the maneuver.

Here is CA, when you use a "turn signal" on the freeway people just close the gap and don't let you in..

cause by the time i turn the turn signal on and it blinks once, im already in the other lane. and usually as soon as i think i need to turn i turn then, if i look back and see some one in the way, i then turn on my turn signal and wait for them to move.

i dont wanna i live in the country and if i see another car im suprised and they drive carfuly and dont crowed you so its no big deal out here anyway
