Well, take your time, but don't go slow. Count the change and the money they hand you twice. Don't steal, and when you can, get a better job.

Your duties are taking $$$ / payments and giving correct change .
They don't start you with hands - on with peoples real $$$$$ , are you crazy ?

Advice ? Give the correct change because if your drawer ends up short , you can end up in the unemployment line .

Always make when they give you, your register, to count it, and if you're supposed to have $200.00, that's what you have.
When a customer gives you money, repeat it out loud, say they give you$ 20.00 you say it to them,$ 20.00, and same with the change. You'll ge the hang of it, just takes time, don't get nervous and be patient, it's hard sometimes to be patient but try. Good Luck!

don't steal money from the register.
be friendly.
don't steal customers.
don't follow people around.
ALWAYS ask questions that you don't know answers to.
don't lie to the customer. we know if it's BS.

PS- you should already KNOW your duties. you're the one who got the job. your duties depend on what section of the store you work in.
