God aside in this question...
i find it hard to pay attention in church as is, & whinning babies only make it harder.
sure children can be bliss, IF THEY'RE YOUR CHILDREN! since they're not MY children, i can complain about how they seem to cry in unity. there will be 5, 10 minutes, 20 tops of silence, then all the sudden one baby errupts, & the rest soon follow in! WHAT GIVES?!?! could they not build a sound proof room with a sound system on the inside so the parents can hear what whoever is talking about?!?--- ARRGG

,,,ok, i'm done venting, for now.

i know what u mean. I LOVE baby's, and don't mind when they cry anywhere else but... church. It's hard to concentrate at church. One church I've been to, it had a baby room, where parents and their babys could go in. (it was soundproof.)

You may be projecting your cry to God within your own soul, and find the sound of crying babies distasteful. It's normal. What you are hearing is LIFE, which oftentimes makes more sense than the sermon.

Chill. Crying babies is part of the service. Instead of cursing the darkness, light a candle. Make the annoying sound a prayer in your heart as a cry to the Father.

No,not many babies in my church at the moment.Mostly young toddlers, and about two babies.Babies/young kids don't bother me,unless theya re being really, really disruptive, and in that case it would be better to take baby out of the auditorium for it's own sake,as it probably needs food,a nappy change,or a sleep.

Most churches i have visited have nurseries where parents of small children can drop their infants, and small children off during the service and it is free of charge. For bigger children they have sunday school so it is mostly adults during service. in the catholic church i grew up in there was the big normal congregation area and there was a small chapel connected to it with a glass wall seperating it. and all the families with babies and small children went in there so they wouldn't disrupt everyone else.

Most of the babies in my church are kept in a nursery so we're seldom disturbed by any crying... if you don't already have one why not suggest the idea to someone at your church? I'm sure there are other people who feel the same way.

When that used to happen at my church, a deacon would just walk up to the mother and politely inform her that the church had a nursery, and if she wanted to take her baby there, he would help direct her to it. Oftentimes that got the message across.

Darkness,
GET a GRIP! We have a number of pregnant ladies at our Church and it is wonderful to see their young families expand and grow in GOD'S TRUTH. HE has paved the way for them by bringing their families to us. The NOISE is not a problem since they are cared for by their parents. Have a wonderful week.,
Thanks,
Eds

Actually I'd much rather hear a baby screaming in Church than the preaching....
