What's a good way to become a better person in less than 3 days?

I want to be better than you... or maybe I already am? Either way, I'd like to improve.

Better/worse is subjective....

If you want to be better in three days, do three things:
1) Determine what 'better' means to you. Be specific. Do you want to lose weight? Have clearer skin? Speak better English? If you don't know what better is, you won't be able to take steps in that direction.
2) Find out what other people have done to get themselves to where you would like to be.
3) Do that.

Honey, if I could answer that, I'm sure I'd be much happier than I am now. As a matter of fact, I bet a lot of people would be happier.

But I'll answer as best I can. My recommendation is to think about what you think is bad about yourself (being too selfish, not reading enough books, whatever) and act completely opposite in that regard, just for a short amount of time (3 days, for example).

One of two things will happen:

1) You'll find out that doing the complete opposite of what you were doing before does feel better than doing whatever you normally do. From then on, even if the 180-degree switch isn't permanent, you're wiser for the wear.

2) You'll discover that changing that part of yourself completely is as bad or worse as how you originally were, and you'll have some more appreciation for your 'normal' trait.

Win-win, depending on your perspective.

First lesson. Don't say you want to be better than someone else. That is pride, which is one of the seven deadly sins. Read the Bible. Start with the New Testament. The teachings of Jesus are amazing. Just reading the book of Matthew will give you a better perspective on what type of person you should be. The Sermon on the Mount is very inspirational. You can do this in less than 3 days. But don't stop there. You can begin turning your life around in less than 3 days, but stay devoted to Jesus for the rest of your life.

Pick up your bible and start reading with Matthew, Mark , Luke and John and through the new testament. Psalms and proverbs are helpful also. Accept Jesus Christ as your savior, ask for him to forgive your sins. Put your worries and fears at the foot of Christ and leave them there! Stop sinning and share the word with others. Do unto others as you would have then do onto you. Pray and believe and try to live as the bible tells you to.

I would suggest that you read, study, and OBEY GOD'S WORD in the next few days and you will have the opportunity to have eternal life with our LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS The CHRIST.. If I was to judge you on first impressions by that statement, I'd think you were arrogant and most likely dislike you. But I don't judge by first impressions.

My advice - ditch the attitude.

You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)
