Cuba only has rum and cigars, no chow mein. Oh, by the way, China wasn't controlled by American gangsters when their revolution came. The gangsters don't forgive.

Just compare the difference in sizes in every respect and you know why. Cuba is the size of a state while China is larger than U.S.
If you remember the sanctions imposed after the TienAn Men Square crackdown, even the industrialized nations couldn't resist the lure of business opportunities there. The international sanctions fell apart very soon.
During the Clinton admin, we tried to link human rights with trades in dealing with China. China's premier told the head of Boeing in China that if they don't get the most favorite nation status extended, Boeing's 100 jumbo jets contract would be cancelled. Go figure what happened in Congress after that... Clinton announced they won't tie human rights with trades with China anymore!

There is no embargo on China because every day it is taking a step towards capitalism while Cuba has stayed true to the principles of the revolution.
