I'm redecorating my bedroom. I want it to be kinda 40's-50's pin-up. Ideas??

Question

what color should i paint the walls? curtains? bed? know of any good posters?
any and all ideas are welcome.

That evokes a "glam" look to me. Mirrored furniture, beautiful perfume bottles on the dresser, feather boa's. I guess we are not always sure of bedroom colors because a lot of those movies were in black and white : ) You could go with a somewhat neutral color maybe a taupe. There are so many taupe's out there, I would look for one with a tinge of pink.

I would get a nice mirror with a dulled silver frame, use a feather boa and a paper clip to dress up a lampshade. Just drape the feather boa around the bottom part of the shade,
hold your finger where it fits so as not to slip off and paperclip the feather boa.

Sheer-type curtains would work well. Iput in a poster of Audrey Hepburn (and they have Marilyn Monroe down a bit), you could do something like that or just get pictures of what you like but keep the frame in that same dulled silver look.

The hottest pinup in the 40's was Betty Grable, in a bathing suit, looking back over her shoulder. The hottest pinup in the 50's was Marilyn Monroe, wearing nothing, in one of the first Playboy centerfolds. Best of luck. lol
