Mom, you need to get a job. You contribute nothing to this family. You pretty much live off of dad's income.

It was rude and mean. So she doesnt do anything? No cooking, cleaning or driving you around or anything? What do you do to contribute besides whine like a spoiled brat?

whether or not she works is none of your concern is it?if you still live at home and arent going hungry or living in the street,dont complain.my oldest daughter once told me i needed to get a job.well next day i had her a job babysitting,seems like your just mad cause your not getting most the money.im now a stay at home mom and no i dont live off my husband,i live with him,its OUR money not his.try doing all the cooking,errand running,laundry,and everything your mom does in a day then come back on here and say shes living off your dad.if i were her next time you needed clean clothes id show you how to wash them.you should get on your knees and apologize to her.your mom is still doing stuff when others in house are setting on there butts,walk behind her every step of the way she goes for a day and you might learn something.if i had asked that question even as an adult my dad not to mention my mother would have knocked me on my rear end.like she should have done to you

It was rude. There is a division of labor within your family; your dad makes the money leaving your mom free to take care of the family. It's teamwork.

I know I would never say something like that to my Mom, however my families situation may not be the same as yours. In reality you will probably get several responses from people who say it was rude, but you did not give more info on really why you said it. Your Mom may need someone to tell her that, just like some alcoholics need someone tell them that they have a problem, no one likes to do it...but sometimes it has to be done. May be you could have worded your question with a little more back ground history.

The first thing you need to do is apologize !
No she may not be making money but there are other ways to commit to a family...who does your laundry? cooking? carried you within for 9 months? cleans the house? takes care of the kid/kids? mops? dishes?dusting? grocery shopping?Dr appointments? dentist? took care of the sick baby/babies?
Was it Dad?.......not likely..
But Mom was there through it all. Lost alot of time and life on someone so ungrateful.
Better look and think before you open your mouth again...next time it could be "Your" child telling you that............God bless

Extremely rude, you would be nothing if not for your mother. You should be thanking her for taking care of you so that you could grow to whatever age you are now. You should be doing things to help her and your father.

yes it was rude. does your dad have a problem with her not working? in our house i don't work. we made this choice as a couple because we both agreed that our children would be raised better if they had a full time parent. grow up and mind your own business.

Thats kind of messed up man. She was probably supporting you and helping oyu throughout your life. She was the one who helped you when you were a lil kid and she loved you with all her heart but to say that is really messed up.
