In the Uk I would eat mainly Rainbow Trout, Atlantic Salmon and Sword fish however now that I live in Australia I am spoilt for choice especially as I catch it myself on my boat. My favourites are Barramundi, Red Emperor, Stripey and Parrot fish. They are all pretty mild flavoured. Cook them up on the BBQ and then a generous squeeze of Lemon on them.
Fresh fish is always the best!

Cod, tilapia, catfish, albacore, monkfish, butterfish, mahi-mahi, eel, flouder, halibut, sole, grouper (if you remove the skin), haddock, orange roughy, and perch all tend to be fairly mild fish. Some of these may be difficult to find in your area, however.
You should stay away from the mackeral family if you don't like a strong flavor. Those things are in your face fishy!

Basically the fattier the fish, the stronger its flavor is going to be. Many members of the mackerel family would fit into that category -including some tuna's .The flat fishes will have the neutral flavors that many find appealing as will the overfished- to- the -brink -of - extinction, members of the cod family .

The fresher the fish, the less strong the taste . . . but I'm with you, if the flavor is too strong - ICK!
I recommend Halibut, Cod, Orange Roughy, Tuna, Tilapia

Most fish aren't strong in taste.
I piece of Cod works well for me. Lightly salt the fillet as that seems to make it tastier, without becoming strong.

Grouper is great! It's a white fish. And you can pretty much cook it any way you fancy.
