Chris, I don't think I answered this question before. But, that was before I stopped not drinking.

It used to be a joke in the Army that some people drink so much they became sober.

Some claimed it was true.

So it may be possible.

Maybe your mom really had no intention of giving her booze to you but was trying to look good and nice by offering you some. Maybe, she doesn't like the fact that you stopped and maybe she can't. Maybe, she doesn't like the positive attention you are getting for your achievement. When this situation reoccurs, leave so no one can tempt you. And when people sticking up for you, say I appreciate the support so they know their actions are right and will repeat them. When your mom tells you take a drink, just have a virgin: Pepsi or Coke. That way if you want to visit your mom and your company, you are being socialable. There is a thing called having a drinking or two and then stopping. Unfortunately, if you are an alcoholic, you don't have the control to stop drinking after one or two. My best advice, go to your room with a headache and go to bed. Also, lock the door as people who drink tend to do thing they regret the next day.
