It requires more than just saying Boo?

Jesus himself sets the example when it comes to resisting the devil. In Matthew 4:1-11, we are given an account of Jesus being tempted by the devil. In every instance Jesus quotes Scriptures to resist the devil’s temptation. This is backed by Psalm 119:9-11
9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word. With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments. 11Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.

I know it is not always possible, but when possible, avoid the situations/places where you feel Satan coming at you the hardest. 2 Timothy 2:22 tells us to “flee” and goes further to tell us what qualities we should follow after.
22 Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

The importance of prayer is brought out in Mark 14:38
38 "Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

God never promises it will be easy when Satan comes at you, but you can take encouragement from 1 Corinthians 10:13
13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

Satan, eh? My wife and I, at our brownstone on lower Fifth and the beach house in Malibu, have contracted with two companies of armed security guards who accompany us whenever we're out among the public at night, more for her than for me. If Satan came at either of us hard and fast, the bodyguard would shut him in the knee caps. Luckily, Satan is only a myth and doesn't have knees or knee caps. More than just saying Boo, eh?

When under attack by the evil one or his deamons or his human followers pray this prayer. O' Lord shelter me under the blood of Jesus, and rebuke thou away Satan in the name of Jesus Christ. This is a powerful prayer and will make Satan flee from you. He that dwells within you is the stronger one...1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. God Bless you Cap'n Arlo

Don't believe in satan, I'd be coming after me for I am responsible for the bad deeds.
Do you really see a dude in red with horns cheering you on to do bad deeds?

Accept him, but do not let him gain a hold of you. Have God guide you through this encounter.

Those who fall and then accept Christ are more honest and stronger in their faith then those who never fell at all. Those who deal with evil with the Lord's guidance are stronger because of it.
