Genetics and early childhood development account for the greatest proportion of the IQ. However, if you avoid watching mindless TV and get moving, you can optimize what God and your parents gave you. Here are some hints:
Math and logic puzzles help you develop critical thinking skills
Reading extensively in the areas of literary fiction and non-fiction will help develop your knowledge base
Writing a journal, and making notations about your thoughts will help you to make connections between the things you see, hear, read, and think.

*Drink water.
*Breath deeply to get oxygen to the brain.
*Exercise (even if it's just getting up from your desk to walk around the office)
*Cross your arms and/or legs. This gets both sides of your brain working together.
