The question should not be "does God listen". The question should actually be do we listen when the Lord responds to us. He speaks to everyone.
We can all hear His voice. That little gut instinct we all have telling us right from wrong and vice versa? That is God's way of communicating with is through our souls. He talks to everyone, which means He also listens. But we are the ones who need to listen...

Ever hear the story about the man hanging within an inch of his life from a cliff? A helicopter shows up and the man says," I am waiting for God to save me". A boat shows up and tells him to jump because the water is deep and a diver will rescue him. The man says," I am waiting for God to save me, no thanks."
He tires and falls to his death. At heaven's gate he asks God why he did not save him.
God replies,"Jeez, I sent you a helicopter and a boat! "
Sometimes help is found in unexpected places and other times we must are denied a prayer for a very good reason. We do not always get what we ask for and I think it is a good thing indeed.

Yes, God hears our prayers, but you must have faith in him. We don't always get everything we pray for and things happen in life that we don't understand. Trusting in God is what fills the empty feeling we sometimes have. Believing in God is a good thing.

absolutely!!
There was a time, not too long ago, i was dealing with something very dear to my heart and I prayed and prayed about it and cried about it. And yelled at God because I needed an answer. I couldn't continue on not knowing. I just couldn't. And with time, he answered it.
And he answers it almost every single time I feel a bit of doubt or if I'm just having a good day and could use even more joy.
So yes, the answers come and they keep on coming.
You just have to be patient and willing to hear them.

ignoring all these people's ignorance, yes. He does listen. And he tells us that he listens.
"Call to me, and I will show you great things you did not know."

No. God is not real, so he does not listen, because he does not exist.
For example,
Pray to a milk jug that you will get a $1000 raise in your job. It will either:
A) Happen
B) Happen later on
C) Never happen
No matter what you pray to, one of the three with ALWAYS happen. Whether to God, a milk jug, a hanger, a window, or a person. God is not real.
