This is very difficult to answer, since many people take pictures of vegetables. Are you talking about Better Homes and Garden or the Food Network.
One good photographer, Edward Weston, took a famous photograph called Pepper No. 30 in 1930.

I think it must be me you're after. I took the official photographs at the Bexhill-on-Sea Women's Institute giant cucumber-growing competition prize-giving last year, and some of them were published in a local newspaper. I'm available for commissions.
