valle nevado to be exact

I will definately be a long day. There is obviously no hope for a non-stop. Assuming you live in the Norfolk area you would have to connect through a major hub. I know Delta has service into Santiago Chile, from Atlanta. That is a 9 and a half hour flight, combine that with the hour or so from ORF (or Richmond) and some sit time the total travel time will be in the 14 hour range. That is before you arange a connection in Chile, and I dont know about local airservice down there, but looking at LANchile's website they do not have service to Valle Nevado. Their route map is available on their website. My sister spent a good deal of time down there and apparently Bus service is very good and cost effictive vs flying.

valle nevado is a ski resort. now, step by step.

from VA try commuting to miami first and fly AA or LAN. if u go to atlanta, delta will rob u, same as if u go to dallas and take the AA flight from there. LAN is ur best choice, although flight attendants' english is lousy. but AA aircraft are a picece of crap compared to LAN ones and dont even have an individual screen if u fly coach.

u wanna fly to SCL, which is the santiago code. once there, a cab will cost u some $20 to take u to ur hotel. now, wherever in santiago u are, itll take u 1 hour or so to get to valle nevado provided theres no bottlenecks. cabs will rob u if u dotn take a bus. this is not europe, so don texpect a train up there.
lift tickets in valled nevado this season should be like $40 a day -used to snowboard there, but i havent checked prices lately.
have fun!

btw, flights from miami are 8 hours and a half.

i know coz i travel all year long both ways
