It could have but it's highly doubtful. Our evolutionary process is quite capable of producing the intelligence found on this planet including written language and myths like God and the devil.

I guess...why not? The angels and devils themselves could be aliens....or they could just be baseball teams and the book is really an elaborate account of a game by some crazy person in the future...sent back in time....

Yes, it's possible. Maybe the Garden of Eden was another planet, and maybe Noah's Ark was a space ship. The Tower of Babel could have also been a space ship.
But I think that it's more plausible to think in terms of parallel worlds, instead of physical worlds.
