Do you think truthfully that people prefer light skinned black people. In the black community, they don't like to admit it, but really if they see a lite skinned guy they would be all over him (than they would a "chocolate" colored guy).

I personally am not saying anything about my views, i'm just observing the world. also i'd like to say that black people can be racist amongst themselves.......as well as any other race group.

Well, it depends on the person's personal taste. I can say that lighter skin guys get play no matter what. Even, if they aren't attractive, oh and don't let him have braids, LOL! Regardless of any other things that matter, for example, personality, goals, drive, a light skin guy most likely will get play lacking all of the above. Me personally, I'm a brown skinned African American woman and I prefer darker skinned males as oppose to lighter skinned ones, put that's just personal preference. What should be considered, which isn't, more often than not, is what lives in a person mental, That would be a perfect world I guess.

I disagree, I am black and I prefer a dark skin black guy because too me he is more attractive. When it comes to the men I think they prefer light skin black women. I do not think, I know because I have heard them speak about it. This is why the majority date outside of the black community.

What you are asking/saying is probably true (in part), though not entirely. Many people with dark skin-tones of any ethnic background prefer someone with whom they have more in common, to include a deeper skin-tone. I also think there are people of lighter skin-tones that prefer someone with darker skin-tone, but that may be less common.

No matter the color; We might try to remember that:

Skin color is not a preference for me. It matters not if they are albino or as black as night. Both extremes, and every shade in between, are beautiful to me in their own way. It's the person I'm interested in...

I dunno you might be on to something. I rem back in highschool the darker kids were constantly made fun of by other black kids for being so black, while the lighter blacks were considered more popular and pretty/ handsome.
