Carnival is rerouting their cruises that were supposed to go to Costa Maya.
I heard that the port is closed for up to 6-8 months after this last hurricane. I am supposed to go there in December. Carnival has taken down the link for the shore excursions there and I suspect that they are planning to reroute the cruises. I was just wondering if anyone knew where they would send us instead.

This is the BEST website for cruising and has all of the updates for all of the cruiselines on new itineraries. Costa Maya, Playa del Carmen and the surrounding area was totally destroyed by Hurricane Dean.

They clsoed Costa Maya? WOW!! That's sad because there wasn't much there to begin with. I was there last year. It's really nice, but not much else there besides the port.
