There is no need to work your abs everyday. Working your abs 3 - 4 days a week is plenty enough. The abs are muscles and just as with any other muscle in the body you can over train them. Your abs and every other muscle of the body needs time to recover after a workout session. Overtraining a muscle can stunt the growth of that muscle.
If you have unwanted belly fat, working the abs everyday is not going to cause them to show more. Working the abs simply tones the muscle. As long as you have belly fat then your hard work is not going to show through. Allow your abs time to recover.

Usually after any work out, you should rest a day to give your muscles a break. But Im sure your abs can take it.

In general, as with most exercises, 3 days a week should be the most to work out any one muscle group. Muscles need a day of rest to regenerate muscle tissue after it has been broken down during physical activity.

Aerobic activity, such as walking or bicycling, is ok to do on a daily basis and is highly recommended to keep your ticker healthy.

not at all.....the various muscle of the mid-section need time to properly recovery from exercise just like all other muscle groups. the main reason not to train the abs so frequently is that eventually you will create a severe muscle imbalance between the abdomen and lower back, making the lower lumbar region prone to injury.

It's not going to help much but if you enjoy it. Abs are muscles like biceps / triceps they need their rest and recovery as well. If your wanting to see them more define them more, work them harder for shorter reps as well. In the area of 4 sets 25 reps with as many of a variety for lower, middle upper, obliques as you possibly can. I like the ab ball, medicine ball for resistance as well, crunches, knee ups and variety of others as well. Crunch away to success.

Yes. Push ups and sit ups are fine to do everyday....just as long as you are not using weights....its not good to work the same muscle group everyday with weights...if you are not using weights its fine.
