Come on people the climate is changing and we are a big part of it. It doesnt snow as much and it doesnt get as cold im mean really go outside look at the facts,
- Great lakes didnt freeze over
- its was 70 degrees in Janurary
- Weather is getting more extrem look at the hurricans
- The worlds ice is melting
- do your part its not hard we are not saying take cold showers or live in a cave but turn out the lights when your not using them dont litter recycle dont use arosal cans as much little things will save our only HOME! If we dont act now there will be no future!

and i live in michigan and the lakes always freeze over and it should never be 70 degrees in winter god people

also i know the earth goes through cycles of hot and cold and we are in the warm part of it but since we are burnign so much fossil fules and releasing so much CO2 its gonna get 7x the normal heat and speed so the earth is heating up faster and hotter than normal so think before you open your mouths!

It was 70 degrees in January. So what about it? That is fairly normal. We had some days in July where the high barely made it out of the 70's that is unusual. Look at the US midwest does it look as if their weather is very hot or that they are even having a summer? Makes you global warmist look like fools doesn't it? The world's ice is melting. Let's see the ice caps are increasing 98%. Maybe the ice in your refrigerator is melting and to you that is the world's ice. Actually your analysis is all wrong. If we act now what will happen is we will still have normal climate change dictated by God (maybe global warming maybe not). What we won't have is enough resources to grow food to feed everyone and those who do get fed will live a life comparable to the 19th century instead of the 21st or even the 20th century.
Too bad we can't send all the global warmist to Mar to fix the global warming there which is several times worse then Earth's This will solve two problems. It will help the Martians with their public transportation projects and it will mean we can close down several of our mental hospitals because most of their patients have left for Mars.
Global warmist needs to be reclassified as a religion. Separation of Church and state laws will once and for all keep the US gov't from spending money on this hoax. The church of global warming is comparable to the church of satan.
To the person below who talks about money? Who is making the money from global warming. Large corporations promoting green products not because it helps the envionment but it gets money from all the suckers of the world. The longer this hoax is kept alive the more money they make. The news media because they need news even if it is not based on facts, the sci-fi station did a piece on global warming (that makes sense). Another beneficiary of global warming is your washed up politicians who have nothing else to offer so they invent global warming.
To the poster below I am still trying to figure out how global warming and cigarettes are related other than the tobacco companies of the 70's are the gloabla warmist of today. Even though most sane people of the 70's knew cigarattes were bad people still used them and were sold them by someone trying to make a buck. First the planet is ALWAYS warming up or cooling down. Personally I’d find it far more interesting if the planet wasn’t heating up or cooling down, because it would be the FIRST TIME IN HISTORY when the planet wasn’t heating up or cooling down.

Now is the planet in a warming cycle? I’d say yes it is. Will the planet cool sometime in the future, yes it will. How much has man contributed to global warming, probably not much if anything.

Here’s the only question you need to ask all the climate experts, what is the optional temperature of for the planet? After all if they want to stop warming the planet they had better know that.

Also for your information recycling, except for most metals, is a waste of time, energy, and resources, and if you believe that man is the cause of global warming, a contributor to global warming. Just thought you’d like to know. (yes I can prove it if you wish but I’ll warn you now its long and boring, the truth usually is.)

Whether or not the Earth is warming is not up for debate. The causes are.

However, even if a person does not believe that humans are causing the climate to increase in temperature (and overall craziness), it really doesn't matter. There are thousands of other reasons to "go green" as the current pop culture trend setters are calling it. So everyone should "go green" as much as possible to fix all of the other things that are wrong with the world, and if the global warming is indeed caused by us then we will hopefully decrease its effect through our actions. If it is not caused by us, then we can still make a positive impact on the world through an increasingly environmentally conscious lifestyle.

If you look at the records we have from ice, tree ring and geologic date, you can see that the last hundred years are not consistant with the climate cycles we have seen in the past. Sun spot activity is a natural cycle and the cause of the ice ages we have seen in the past. This cycle is going into a period of decreased energy; the climate should be getting cooler. ( This is the noise about science in the 70's)
We know that there is more CO2 in the atmosphere now and that is coming from fosil fuels. What was the climate like when the little sea creatures that became our oil "locked" this carbon in their bodies and took it to the bottom of the sea?
I just found a great book written in the 70s about how smoking isnt really bad for you. Written by a scientist working for the tobacco industry. People who expect to lose $ will always find someone who is willing to prostitute themselves.The longer they can maintain the system as it is the more $ they will make. Conservatives, in the classic sence, always find change repugnant, even when it is needed.(liberals always find change invigorating, even when its not.) No one believes that the Sun is 93million miles from Earth, or that light travels at 186,000mps, because these things can be proved by anyone.

This year the Ozone hole was actually smaller than when it was origanly found.
Machinery does generate heat.
Black roads do absorb more solar heat than does green plants. as with buildings.
Refrigerated a/c units generates more heat than they reduce it by way of the friction from within.
Nuclear bombs generate a great deal of heat ask the Japanese who were melted into dust. They have also knocked the earths axis off center.
CO2(carbon dioxide) is the gas that anamals exhale and plants breath in , with the jungles being destroyed there is less O2 being produced.
Carbon based fuel using machinery (cars, foundries, manufacturing,... ) produces CO (carbon monoxide)

I guese you can say I believe in the warming , but not by the way the governement wants us too believe.

we've always had extreme weather. one or two bad hurricanes isn't out of the ordinary. many of the worst hurricanes took place years ago.

while i'm skeptic and don't think it's been conclusively proven, i do think it's a possibility. and considering the possible effects of such a possibility, i do think we should take necessary steps just in case. good job spreading the word.

One of the coldest winters ever in the NorthEast...average summer temp down almost 3 degrees....weather is cyclical...im not saying global warming doesnt exsist but the fact that it was 70 degrees in January wherever you live doesnt prove global warming

I really hate having a Jehovah's witness come knocking at my door like every other day and not leaving me alone. They just talk and talk and talk about the one true way and that we can all be saved. There are nice pictures of the world after the rapture when God creates the New Jerusalem. Well, most of those people are just being sold up the river.

More like a simple course in BS. Mars polar ice caps aren't melting. One of them, the southern who is closest to the Sun, is decreasing. The other one is increasing in size. This is a natural cycle. Btw, the polar ice caps on Mrs are made out of CO2.
And speaking of Mars, you say that we should look at its climate, compare it to Earth, and not worry?
