I’m just curious is all. What do Jews think about the LDS Church and their doctrine involving people of Jewish heritage?

I really don't know how many Jews have been converted to Mormonism, but I watched a TV show on Mormons that did mention one thing. Mormons take records from all over the world and baptise the person by proxy in the temple since these people did not have a chance to become Mormons while they were living. They took all the names of the people killed in the Holocast and, by proxy, baptised them into the Mormon church. When the Jews heard about this, they protested and the Mormon church had to undo those baptisms. Does this say anything about how Jews feel about Mormonism?

Not that I've heard of, and I wouldn't be inclined to become Mormon.

Also, I thought many Protestant churches emphasized this. Didn't the Baptists start the whole Jews for Jesus thing? Some Christians think that substantial numbers of Jews must convert before their expected apocalypse can start.

I've only met one Jewish woman who converted into mormonism. She now has 12 Jewish children that are also mormon.

I don't know the statistics of Jewish converts to the LDS religion, but when they decide to be open-minded enough, they will instantly see many similarities between our two faiths.

Personally, since I don't believe in the teachings of the Mormon church they can believe anything they want to about me; I don't really care. As far as the post-mortem baptisms I find it offensive, but it's also been really useful for doing my own family's genealogy.

I really doubt that. 1) I think a Jew would come to the conclusion that his book is authentic than some guy who supposedly got his from an "angel."

never herd of that before, but people like that are weak and religion so over powering gives them courage and a reason to live.

I dont know about all Jews, but I'll tell you what this Jew thinks. I think the mormons will do as they please and as long as I am left to practice my faith as I please without trying to convince me to convert (which I never will), I will continue to let them do as they please.
