This sounds like an abusive father. Is he?
I don't mean for locking up your computer, but is he afraid that you have files that record abuse?
Or is he distrustful for some reason, like bills started showing up for porn sites?
I get the feeling that there is more to the story than you are telling us.
Exactly why does he lock up your computer?

No, I doubt the police will do something if there replaced into no probability. this is a sprint creepy, yet i think of you're over-annoying. it incredibly is in all probability basically a dumb prank call by using somebody you already know. somebody that should truthfully decide to break you does no longer basically say no longer something once you %. up. If there is not any probability then you definately incredibly shouldn't supply this plenty concept. If it does persist although, the telephone employer and your cellular telephone provider service ought to the two be waiting to dam him for you.

First of all, since you are a minor in his home, like the other poster said, whatever you THINK is yours is his. I doubt you paid for that laptop with your own money, so stop acting like you are really out something.
Second of all, your dad obviously took away the laptop for a reason and I'm sure he had good reason. Show him the respect that he deserves and know that it is your parent's responsibility to raise you properly, keep you safe and teach you morals, this is part of what he is trying to do.
Lastly, if you were my kid, nobody would be calling the police, but someone would have to call the coroner because I'd beat you within an inch of your life.

You really overstepped the boundaries didn't you? By unlocking your dad's drawer, you just showed him disrespect
as your father. Not to mention breaking & entering & theft.
As long as he is keeping a roof over your head, food in your stomach, clothes on your back, & generally paying your way in this world, you owe him respect.
Evidently, you think your dad owes you the world. You must have done something to warrant this type punshiment. It doesn't matter if your name is on it; he can ground you from the computer if he deems it necessary; as long as you are a minor & under his roof. You need to abide by his rules, they are there to help you grow into a mature adult, not a childish one.
To show him you are maturing, you need to return the computer & apologize for taking it with out his permission.

It sounds to me, he is running out of options.
There are more problems with your listening that we see here.
There must be a reason for it. He is deciding in the arena of your best interests.
How much life experience does he have over you. And this means nothing ? I know I thought so at that age. But, as time instructed me, I found I was wrong in most cases. Give yourself another 15 years and revisit this issue. You'll find... Its not really that big a deal.

If your father called the police then as a responding officer I would tell him that it is his issue to deal with. Then I would give him ideas on how to do so, such as grounding you, taking away all of your priviledges (a laptop is a huge priviledge), etc.
It is the parents right to discipline their children. And to those who say physical punishment is illegal..it is not...as long as no fists/weapons are used, no blood is drawn, no bones broken, no bruising, etc.

If you're 15, as far as I'm concerned, it is his laptop. Everything you think you own is his. So if you broke into his drawer and stole his laptop, it does sound like you committed a crime.
If I were your Dad, I wouldn't be calling the police, I would put you over my knee.

Your dad has every right to discipline you as long as he's not physically harming you.
If you called the police on this, I would think they would agree with your dad.
Don't waste tax dollars on this.

if you bought it with your money than you can do what you want with it. but, also, you live under your parents house under his rules. meaning, you need to do what he says. really, the police can't do anything like arrest you for anything.
