It was religious. Martyrdom. Religion was the basis, Bin Laden was the prophet, the terrorists were the messenger.

No. I think that they were caused by two things (I am not justifying the attacks in any way but this was even mentioned by the Congress in a post 9/11 discussion)
1- Because of U.S policy of helping the Zionist system in Israel, which has left hundreds of thousands of Palastenians dead since it began.
2- Because the U.S Government holds numerious occupied lands in their countries (yes, even Before sept/11), and has now invadaded two sovereign nations.
If it was an act of Religious devotion, then they would not hurt civilians OR kids OR women because the Quran clearly forbids that. It was an act of POLITICAL devotion.

I think the men attacking us felt that they were doing this in the Name of their God. I feel however they were used, by the men that sent them here to do what they did.
I've noticed that the men backing the terror operations are all wealthy and educated men. They get young men to die for a cause. But what the young men don't realize is that they are being lied to. Their religion has been taken and re written, in order to convince young en and women to kill them selves in the name of their religious beliefs.
I think what is truly going on is that the wealthy of the middle east are starting to realize between global warming and the diminishing cost return on getting oil out of the ground, and the soon to be Hydrogen run Global economy, that the middle east is about to be rendered a non entity.
If you take notice to Africa you’ll see no one is bothering to go into there to stop the genocide. The reason is their or limited world economic assets there.
The soul reason we care about Iran and Iraq and Saudi is the oil. The governments of these three nations know this and they have taken the approach to re-write their religion and history. If you compare what the Nazis did in WWII as well as Japans History re write of the Samurai and Kamikaze, you'll notice the same pattern.
So yes I think the attackers felt they were part of a Jihad; however I think the folks that recruited them and financed their training were motivated by money and power.

I feel it was more political then anything but because of religious devotion, it has turned people's head from the real truth.
The blame had to be placed somewhere so why not on the Muslims? Because the Christians and Muslims have always fought, it was genius. This is a Christian dominant country and the Politicians knew just how to start an uprising of hate so they could manuever behind the scenes. Now we really do have Muslim terrorists and why, because they are taking the fall for this deed and now are fighting back to defend their honor. See what Religion does?

I disagree. I don't believe that Muslims were responsible for 9/11 or 7/7. I think that it was some just stupid radicals who thought they were doing Islam "good" by blowing up the WTC and the Pentagon. It was no way an act of religious devotion. The radicals don't even know the meaning of Martyrdom.

Usually the two intertwine at some point. If a nation, regardless of who it is views the USA as a evil nation, then they may use some form of terrorism against us or any other nation, based on their religious devotion. But, they can usually tie it together with their politics since most countries politics are based on some beliefs of its religion.

Disagree: The attacks were staged, real people died, that can not be denied but the way things occurred are a creation of our regime.
If I believed it happened the way I'm wanted to believe it did: Then yes I would have to say it was an act of religious devotion, they were just devoted to the twisted version of Islam rather than the real Islam.

Terrorists = Religious and/or political fanatics or radicals. By definition, a terrorist attack usually is an act of religious devotion. Not unique to 9/11. Usually the "devotion" is misguided, hence the term fanatic/radical.

At the base of Religion and or Politics is always Power and Money.
It's real simple - and if anyone tells you differently they're lying.
They attacked symbols of USian Power that'd make America bleed so they needed to take human life along for the ride.
There were three main reasons for the attacks:
1. Revenge for decades of US interference in ME affairs.
2. To destabilise the Saudi political system because it was tainted by the Great Satan.
3. Oil.
but not necessarily in that order.

If 9/11 was only about religious devotion, then please EXPLAIN WHY the targets in 9/11 were purely financial and government aimed?
If they were anything other than being aimed at the financial and governmental aspirations of the US government, why weren't churches and other public buildings hit? Why not highways and railways for example?
Why don't people cultivate a ******* brain to think with independently instead of being spoon-fed by FOX network?

Yes. Extremists tend to view darn near everything in terms of religion. It's islam versus the world, and if something happens to a Muslim, it must be /because/ that person is a Muslim. The action they particularly dislike on our part is our support of Israel, whose existance displaced millions of Muslim Palastinians. That action was mostly political, but the extremists don't see it that way. They see it as an attack on Islam, and they committed the 9-11 attacks in defence of Islam against a country they feel threatens it.
