I found this. Currrently, honor guards are volunteers and are trained by the military. Women ARE accepted. http://www.unitedpatriots.org/what/military-honor-guard.asp

The Tomb of the Unknowns sentinels are chosen through a very strict process. The sentinels are from the 3rd United States Infantry (The Old Guard). Currently there are no women as Sentinels but there has been 3 women awarded the Badge and 1 has been a Platoon Leader.
As for the silent drill platoon for the Marine Corps... you only see male Marines because their primary MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) is Infantry. The Marine Corps doesn't allow females to enlist in the Infantry MOS. Same reason for the Tomb of the Unknowns sentinel.
Here's a link of FAQ's from their website...

There was a woman that guarded the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I doubt a lot of women apply for that kind of assignment.

The "Old Guard," 3rd Infantry guards the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Guards are all infantryman 11b. They are not just for show as other honor guard teams are. They are the real deal and can fight and defend Arlington/ Washington DC if they were needed. Women are not currently allowed in the 11b Infantry career field as it is a combat arms branch. This is why you will not see them guarding the tomb.

Can't tell you about the tomb of the unknown soldier. But for the silent drill team, there are height requirements so they look somewhat the same. I don't know that they specifically restrict women, but most women would be too short. And the uniform would look different.

Because women can't remain silent for that long! Sorry, but it's the truth and each of you know it!

Because unfortunately this world is still dominated by male egos. That's my best guess.
