There are several documents dated around the time that the Bible takes place written by different individuals than those who wrote the Bible that support it's events. Further, the Bible has been translated into English from the original texts dated at the time the authors would have lived who knew Jesus and would have remembered his teachings.
But the Book of Mormon was written on Golden Tablets that the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith claimed to have seen only for himself. Is there any geological data or archeology discoveries to support the stories in the Book of Mormon or is most of it doubtful?

No, the book of mormon is a lie from Hell wrote by Satan, and the Bible is wrote by God.

There is alot of support for the Book of Mormon and is always growing. I have an archeologist friend that goes down to Central and South America every year with others and are still making discoveries. There are still many cities that are buried by dirt and plantation that look like mountains and hills. Their using satellite technology to locate and discover some of these. There are temples that have drawings on the walls telling of Adam and Eve, of Noah, and others. See my answer at the link below to a similar question. There are tons more of discoveries to be made. It's not about those in Central and South America, but in other parts of the world as well (as mentioned in link below).
But, the main question should be, "Is it True?" There's alot of archeological facts about the Bible and that there was a man named Jesus that lived in the Bible times and area. But, none of that proves that Jesus truly was the Son of God. To truly find that out, one must ask the one who knows... God, who is the source of all truth. That's how Peter found out as mentioned in Matthew. It's the same with the Book of Mormon. Joseph was not the only witness to seeing and handling the plates. There were others. And even though some fell away from the Church and were excommunicated, and some fought against Joseph as well. Not one denied the plates or what they have seen and heard. To some, these may just be stories and lies. Study and research it for yourself and take it to the source of all truth and ask Him. Man can deceive you. God wants us to put our faith and trust in HIM, not people or objects. Man is imperfect and objects can perish. But, God is perfect and eternal.

Get a copy of The Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is also available at www.lds.org. Click on Gospel Library, then click on Scripture at the bottom. Click on The Book of Mormon.
Pray and Ask God that He would help you understand The Book Of Mormon, that you will have the Spirit to be with you.
Read and Ponder: Moroni 10:3-5; 3 Nephi Chapter 11; 2Nephi Chapter 31; Ether 12.
Pray and Ask God if these things are true. You will Know by the power of the Holy Spirit if these things are true.
Feelings to recognize and acknowledge are feelings or Fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5: 22-23.

There is no way that the BOM can be proved as the Bible has been. The land has been sufficiently built on that any coinage or cities that were mentioned in there shouldh ave been found.
It is proven false with anthropology and with a number of other things as well.

You are wrong in your assumption that Joseph Smith, Jr., was the only one to have seen the gold plates. Three witnesses saw them as shown by an angel. They were Oliver Cowdery, David Whitmer, and Martin Harris.
Moreover, eight other witnesses saw and handled the plates and those names, too, are in the preface of every Book of Mormon. Why don't you take the time and read their testimonies for yourself and don't depend on heresay from others?
It isn't important to any faithful Latter-day Saint to try and prove the validity of the Book of Mormon to anyone. We live our religion by faith in Jesus Christ and all that He has given us. It was He who gave the Book of Mormon to us through a chosen angel.
Geological data and archeology discoveries have, and are coming forth to verify the scriptures. The jungles of Central and South America, however, show no mercy to those trying to excavate and find remnants of ancient cities that are mentioned in the Book of Mormon.

There are exactly ZERO contemporaneous records independent of the bible which support the gospel accounts... nada... zilch... NOTHING.

Actually, the bible is full of contradictions, and thus isn't reliable. A simple historical reference is insufficient. The Odyssey contains historical references but is a work of fiction. By today's standards, the Bible has very little that can be said to be "proven". It is NOT true that the authors would have known Jesus. They were in the next century after him. Where did you get your "facts"????

You mean where is the equivalent of Rome, Jerusalem, Egypt, Canaan, etc in the new world? None.
Individuals are more difficult, but many biblically id'd Roman emperors, Babylonian leaders and Egyptian Pharaohs have been identified and assigned a time period that closely align their biblical counterpart. No monuments to Benjamin, Alma or Nephi have been discovered, nor has their secret and cryptic language been uncovered.
It was a good little story for it's time, but now it's best to move on...

The gift of interpretation that Joseph Smith was given by our Heavenly Father, was witnessed by Oliver Cowdery, David Whitmer, and Martin Harris. Also, they saw the plates that no one could understand, which used ancient Hebrew, combined with Egyptian hieroglyphics, altered into a secret code. Eight other witnesses, who signed documents, were: Christian Whitmer, Jacob Whitmer, Peter Whitmer Jr., John Whitmer, Hiram Page, Joseph Smith Sr., Hyrum Smith, and Samuel H. Smith.

I doubt that ALL religious books are true. They were all written by MEN, not some so-called god. Stop the brainwashing.
