I know what most of you will say. I just want advice and no judgements please... My sister is dating a sex offender. She is bi-polar and has issues with men etc.... She is going to marry this man. Even though he did not comit rape, he molested an underage female child of 13 years old. She has a high functioning autistic son. My sister has been unreliable in her decision making for years. I can not personally force her not to marry this man. The man is registered as an offender and admits to the crime and is going to counseling.

I can in NO way find it in myself that this marriage is OK. I understand that people can change however, should my sister be the one to find that out? My heart says NO.

If I expose him to my family, the realtionship will either be destroyed and my relationship with her and her son, or they will move away and cut us off all together. I'm not sure where to turn. I need advice.

There is no way I would ever let a child molester in my home nor would I associate with him. I dont care if hes in counseling or not. You should protect your family from him and not take risks. Its not just her child at risk its also any other child in the extended family.

Get a few brothers and/or cousins in combination and feature a well historic usual beat down! Or get a few brothers and/or cousins in combination and allow the wrongdoer understand you all understand what he did and you'll be able to be maintaining an eye fixed on him. Keep the negativity up and HE would unload your sister. Also, like an individual else stated, if he is a registered intercourse wrongdoer and your sister knowingly has her daughter round him, this can be in violation of the regulation. Because of the youngster, you shouldn't have the luxurious of now not pissing off your sister. Tell her she dumps him or you'll be able to be pressured to name Child Protective Services and get them worried. Maybe you will have to threaten to battle for custody if she can not hold that youngster clear of registered intercourse offenders!

Very touchy question...ok depends on where you live..what state....Cause here in Florida sex offenders are NOT to be allowed near children at all...thus meaning no marrying woman with children...Make sure he has no sanctions against him living with children...Also predators look for vulnerable woman In this casse he got 2 for 1 he also has the autistic child..Someone needs to teach her son about not being touched in certain areas and be on the watch for certain behaviors. in this case just keep the news to yourself cause if you say something more then likely he will convince them to move away and estrange the family...Is there anyway you can tell the childs father or his family.....??

Honey, you have to protect your family. If, in time, he straightens himself out, then you can expose him to your family a little at a time, but you can never let your guard down. I'm sorry you're having to choose between your sister and your family. Good luck.

How old is her son? It is illegal for this man to be within 500 feet of a child.

Tell your mom if your sister wont believe you. You wouldn't just keep it a secret if it depends on your sisters life

SEX OFFENDERS ARE HIGHLY LIKELY TO RE-OFFEND. ITS NOT A SICKNESS LIKE THEY CLAIM THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS WRONG. PLEASE WATCH YOUR CHILDREN AND HERS AROUND THIS MOLESTER. ANY ACKWARD LOOK TO THE CHILDREN IS A THREAT.
