I would like to become a minister one day and minister to mostly young people. But, I have one little problem: I can stand people! I am not a people person and I have never been. Most people get on my nerves! The people that I have had dealing with in my life are two-faced, hypocrites, liars, back-biters, throat-cutters, thieves and Cheaters. I want to start a non-profit ministry eventually, but every time I try to do as Jesus did and find my 12 disciples, all I end up getting is 12 Judases. Does anyone have a solution? I know I have to do a lot of fasting and praying and maybe some anger management classes would hurt either. But, for some reason, some people really get me mad and angry.

a ministry can be for people without becoming overly
involved with them. free clothing room and/or a soup
kitchen or food pantry. wanting to help others springs
from the HOLY SPIRIT (RUACH HAKODESH). ask
the HOLY SPIRIT for the solution. not being able to
trust others is the beginning of wisdom. you can't
trust mankind, they will always fail you. you can only
trust ADONAI (GOD the FATHER). ask the HOLY
SPIRIT to help heal and change your heart. look
at mankind as lost and pathetic; which we all are.
have you read All of the Bible? this helps with perspective.

That actually makes me feel better. Cause then I know that they don't know what I'm talking about and would be more likely to believe me whether it was the truth or not. And relax. I used to be an introvert. Let go a little. Remember everyone's an idiot.
You should also forgive people for their faults. They can't help it. You should probably watch the Phantom of the Opera. (it's a 3hr Opera so bear with it) because it teaches tolerance. The theme is this phsyco guy with a messed up face reeks havoc on an opera house and falls in love with this sweet innocent girl. He tells her he's the angel of music and teaches her to sing (very well by the way) Then she runs into her childhood friend and she falls in love with him. The Phantom gets mad and I'm not telling the end cause that would mess it up. Point is the Phantom ends up committing murder four times but in the end you could still forgive him. That's what you need to learn.

If "The people that I have had dealing with in my life are two-faced, hypocrites, liars, back-biters, throat-cutters, thieves and Cheaters," you ever think that it's BECAUSE you're hanging out with believers?
You want honesty, find an atheist group. No need to be a hypocrite when you aren't pretending to believe things.

You need to get your life in order before you can minister to others. There are way too many people talking the talk but not walking the walk. One positive thing about you is that at the very least you recognize your faults. Remember with God all things are possible. The reverse is also true.

Well, what kind of ministry work do you think God's calling you for? Once you know what He's called you for, just put it all in His hands. He will provide for you all that you need. He will send those who He has chosen to be your "staff" in His way and timing.
Now, sense you've admitted that you're not a people person, (neither am I) you can rest assured that God will mess with your comfort zone. Like it or not, there are going to be people God sends along your way just to remind you how much you need Him, and how much you have yet to learn.
Don't run away from your fate; your life could be the very example people need to see to bring them closer to their own brothers and sisters in Christ.

Sounds like you are friends with God but not with people. In the old days people went to hermit huts to pray and be with God, and then they went to convents and monasteries. I think the catholics and the episcopaleans and the orthodox still have monasteries. you can visit them as a guest and see if you like them, and if you can get along with the people in them maybe then a public ministry could be possible for you some day.

Silly, what would you be offering? Nothing good.
I have a strong interest in religion and once took a career aptitude test that put minister right up there with architect as good for me. Only problem - not dedicated to any one religion!

Be a hermit! It is like being a minister, but a whole lot less annoying! And, in a few decades, you will have the privilege of, in your enlighenment, telling all the children the mighty four words they long for: "Get off my lawn!"

How about this: Luke 6-37-38
Do not judge and you will not be judged, do not condemn and you will not be condemned, forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and it will be given to you.A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Maybe you could do something behind the scenes to serve the lord, we all have gifts, pray on it.

20 bucks and you can become an internet minister and minister here. You'll never have to see anyone. You could get as angry as you want, no one will ever know.
