What does God say about the life and personhood of a fetus? People have worth and identity before they are born. It's in the Bible:

Jeremiah 1:5, NIV. "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

God is at work in a person's life while he is in the womb. It's in the Bible:

Psalm 139:13-14, NIV. "For you created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

God's commandment forbids the taking of life. It's in the Bible:

Exodus 20:13, NIV. "You shall not murder."

This all is especialy for pro-abortion Christians.

"Exodus 20:13, NIV. "You shall not murder." "

LOL. But some how outa the same book you'll find justification to implement the death penalty but you won't implement the death penalty against those who wear two different threads in their clothes or farmers who plant two crops in a field. (see Leviticus)

Why would you think mythology and superstition born out of the Bronze Age would have any relevance now?
Have you given up Pork and Prawns have you.
Taken up with more than one wife and concubines have you?

Y'all pick and choose whatcha want to 'obey' - it's why you're known as hypocrites by the free thinkers of the world.
"With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."

"This all is especialy for pro-abortion Christians."
You're a liar - it was pointed at atheists - fundies are already convinced they're doing 'god's work'.

There's no such thing as pro-abortion. It's pro-choice. I believe in contraception. I believe in preventing unwanted pregnancy. But I also believe that it is far worse to bring a child into the world you don't want and cannot care for than it is to end a pregnancy. And I also believe that the life and the health of the pregnant woman takes precedence over the embryo or fetus. I also believe you people who call yourself pro-life should show a little more concern about what happens *after* the kid is born.

And while the commandments say thou shalt not murder, the bible also allows the murder of children who strike their parents and condones the wholesale slaughter of nonbelievers.

Your opinion is very ignorant. Have you ever experienced this type of situation? What about people who have been raped or in cases of incest? What about a sick baby that would ultimately hurt or possibly kill the mother? What about her life? I am not saying that abortion is a form of birth control nor should it be treated as such, but to say that it is wrong in all cases is stupid. What if one of these things I stated above happened to you? I bet you would have a totally different perspective on this situation!! Your comment and those like it, are so ignorant.

Not really. I kinda figured it would be bible babbling, not any actually thinking or reason.

BTW, there are far more "spontaneous abortions" through natural causes than human-caused, so I guess that makes your god the biggest murderer of all...unless you're ready to admit that he screws up while he's knitting in the womb, and discards his mistakes.

Oh, how little logic one finds in the mind of the believer!

God will forgive the person who has to make the tough decision to abort or not.

If God didn't want us to get an abortion then.....

1. why did he make women get their periods so early in life?
2. why did he make it SO easy for women to get pregnant?
3. why didn't he create condoms that are more reliable?

Hmmm.....

"and it is never gods plan for anyone to abort."

Which is why well over 50% of fertilised ova fail to implant on the wall of the uterus and abort naturally. Add to that the miscarriages that occur after implantation and there are billions of naturally aborted fertile eggs and foetuses. Most women who abort in this manner are unaware they had conceived. If abortion is murder then your god is the greatest murderer of the lot.

I THINK YOU SAID IT PERFECTLY.

We value freedom, but freedom to destroy ourselves with sin and corruption is really just a LACK of freedom FROM the stumbling blocks of life.

God gave us choise, because we felt we needed freedom to experience the difference between good and evil. On this sin-cursed planet we do. It tests us for heaven, and teaches us to give up evil, and find 100% good in heaven "not boring". and not restrictive.

Freedom of choice, to kill your baby, is always available on this planet. For some unknown reason, murdering babies is legal for the first 9 months on their life....next murdering useless old people will be legal in the last months of their life.

God is our judge, not the supreme court.

And your question would be? And you are preaching to the wrong person. I have an idea, stop preaching to people. Do not judge people. It's not right.
