I live in canada and I got locked ina psychiatric ward with people dousing me up with hallucigenics which amplified ordinary fear 1000 times... and I wanted to kill myself. I saw my hands and head getting chopped off and I experienced so much terror under the influence of drugs which I was instructed to take for 3 months... (leading to addiction and psychological independence)

Christians can have a hard time in some middle eastern countries (the same way anyone who was mistaken of an Arab or Muslim had a hard time in the U.S. in the four years following 9/11). But they are not "extremely cruel." There are no countries were people are tortured or put to death simply for being Christian, or any other religion, for that matter. China is also not a Christian-friendly place to be, but you can go and live there in peace.
To the other answerers: There has been a thriving group of Christians in Egypt since the Dark Ages. They have their own Bible, just like the Ethiopian Church. And Russia, since the fall of the Soviet Union, is not hostile for Christians. Many of the people who live in Russia are Orthodox.
Please, people, check your facts before you post stupid fallacies.

The middle east as a whole persecutes and kills Christians, because they defy Muslim. Other countries that kill/imprison Christians is Thailand, North Korea, Vietnam, Russia (especially the former USSR), and much of the Muslim Asia. Almost all of the USSR break off countries such as Tajikistan and others are majorly against Christians. And i have to say, China too, mostly when it was a communist country, though. Most communist countries also persecute, such as Cuba.
God bless.

No where. In most countries if they stay out of the governments eye they are fine. It's the ones that decide they must shove their religions down everyone's throat that end up in trouble and in those places they don't just go after Christians. They go after all religions not approved of by the state. By a vast majority such as in your case, Christians are the ones doing the persecuting. Many times to other Christians.

China, Korea, Malawi, most of the African countries, France, central Europe. All these true Christians are in prisons for nothing else than serving God. They take no part in any political activities or subversions. In the Nazi death camps, they could have gotten out simply by saluting Hitler and signing a paper. None did as it would have meant disowning their faith.

True Christians? All nations except civilized ones like the USA. Fake "christians" are popular the world around, people like Billy Graham, posing as a true Christian but loved by those that hate the truth.
