Why is it so easy to believe that we came from an animal and that some can cast magical spells on people but so hard to believe that someone created us and loves us?

Because that creator has yet to show his pretty face to us, and I have yet to see many tangible benefits of this so called love of his (is it cancer, or AIDS?)

Let's break this down:
"Why is it so easy to believe that we came from an animal..."
Because that's what all of the evidence points to; evolution from a common ancestor.
"...and that some can cast magical spells on people but so hard to believe that someone created us and loves us?"
Speaking only from an atheist perspective, I don't believe in any form of the supernatural...no ghosts, magic, gods...none of it.
When the physical empirical evidence of a creator is presented and verified, then that will be acceptable. Until then, I'll stay with the proven process of evolution.
EDIT: "i haven't gotten 1 single answer just a bunch of rambling on how they hate me and what they believe in." You've actually gotten more than a few valid answers...it just appears that you don't like them.
over, to answer your question as it's posed, It's easy to believe that we came from an animal, since there is proof of that. It is difficult to believe that said animal can cast spells on people, just as it is to believe that there is someone in the sky that created us with dust and magic.

Magical spells? Is there a new development in the Theory of Evolution I haven't heard about?
I don't believe animals, the human kind or other, can cast magical spells on people. Where is that coming from?
It's easy to "believe" in evolution however because there is evidence backing it up. Scientific evidence. There is zero evidence for some god magically creating everything and everyone. The Bible is not evidence.

I'm... not sure what you're talking about with the "magical spells" thing, but anyway, here's my answer:
It's hard to believe that someone "created us and loves us" because the thought of a creator being there since the beginning of time makes no sense. The idea is that God was just always there. He wasn't created from anything. He didn't evolve from anything. He's the most intelligent, complex, advanced being in the history of the universe, but he just appeared, instantly. That concept alone makes no sense. Nothing as complex as a deity just appears out of nowhere. How did he get there? Where did he come from?
And saying things like "God exists outside of time" accomplish nothing; that makes even LESS sense.

Well, it's not hard to believe we were created, in fact before 1859 there was no functioning 'alternative' theory.
Still, many had trouble believing that God sat around creating the next flu virus or 350,000 species of beetles.
Darwin's theory that random changes and natural selection can create new species from existing ones answered these questions.
Does God make the rain, or is rain natural?
It's not hard to believe either one.
So does God make every new species, or is the formation of new species a natural thing?
Again, it's not hard to believe either.
Where you are getting 'Animal spells' in this is a mystery though. I'm guessing paganism or shamanism?
An Atheist may certainly be called a non-believer. That term though would be inaccurate if applied to a pagan, shamanist, or polytheist.

>> Why is it so easy to believe that we came from an animal
Because we ourselves are animals, and the evidence is overwhelming. Why do so many pretentious people think their dignity is threatened by that idea? For that matter, why do you assume that the two ideas (theism, and accepting evolution) are mutually exclusive?

http://talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-god.html

>>and that some can cast magical spells
I'll let the spell-believers comment on that one. Though I don't know why you're lumping everybody into the same category. Regardless, it doesn't sound any more far-fetched than, oh gee let's say, a big invisible man creating woman from a rib who later meets a talking snake.
>>but so hard to believe that someone
>>created us and loves us?
Because the evidence isn't there. Unless you want to philosophically interpret the natural process of things as a "creation" (which you're free to do). But in any case I don't feel the need to believe in an invisible man I never met who made me special and "loves" me. Life, for me at least, is exciting enough as it is.

Keep working on the terminology. You are getting there.
Atheists (a very mixed group on non-religious and anti-religious people) do not believe in a higher power/Deity. Some, but not all, resent being defined by their dis-belief because they say that that is not about who they ARE (like calling someone who is vegetarian a "non-meat eater")
Their are many other religions out there that do not follow the Christian God/Jesus but who are very devoutly religious. Some of them believe in God but not the Christian God.
ADD: Some Atheists are spiritual and believe in magic or other super-human powers; most do not.
Of the many non-Christian religions only some of them believe in spells and magic; many do not (even by a Christians definitions of "magic").

Well you are a pushy little fellow aren't you.
People have answered your question, but it seems that they are not what you seek. Well people will tell you how they feel and believe, it is ignorance that blinds most from the answer.
Did we come from animals through evolution...Yes
Do people cast magic spells....Yes i have no doubt some believe they have that ability.
But most on here that you aim that question at perform rituals, which is an entirely different "kettle of fish".
My advice research, then ask.

"and that some can cast magical spells on people but so hard to believe that someone created us and loves us?"
I'm atheist - I don't believe in magic - spells or otherwise.
THAT includes an invisible sky daddy waking up one morning and feeling a bit whacked out from the night before decides to make the universe and everything in it.
Yeah; that's real believable. LOL.
You gotta learn to be consistent - you don't believe in magic spells but you DO believe there's an big invisible monster in the sky who can wave a wand and ...
Tell me - how did he do it again?
Did he have a little baton?
Or, did he just wave his arms about in a magical fashion with the standard accompanying phrase: Abra-Kah-Debra?
Or, did he just think us into existence while he crapped his pants?
Are we his faecal matter?
Then of course there's always the standard question you god-botherers get asked: Who made god?
And y'all came back with mind-numbing stuff y’all learnt on your acid-trips like: He was always there.
Duh. LOL

Who said not to say non believers?? I f somone doesnt believe in God, thats what they are. ludicrous. a rose by any other name is still a rose. gimmme a break. oh the games ppl play. I refuse to be a part of it.
Yes, I agree, why is it easy to belive that we came from a bing bang or monkeys or something else. THey say its cause they cant see God, well did they ever see a monkey turning into a human/ LUdicrous? IF I gave them a brand new car and say it fell from the sky last night andits for them, all beautiful gloriously made, they would laugh me all the way to the title company, saying you cant get something from nothing. YEt, they can so easily believe that we all , thos whole earth and all in it, just came from ahuge explosion in the sky. Are we dumber than a fifth grader as that show says? Even a little kid knows you cant get something from nothing. And if you belive the big bang happened, where did the gasses come from and all there that caused it?? Doesnt take a rocket scientist folks to see truth here from error.
WE were created, intelligently created and designed By GOD, just liek He says in His Holy Word. There is much proove but its dismissed when given. And we dont have to proove it, GOd says it, we believe it, and there you go. But you dont have to belive it, its all choice folks. To me its easier to belive there is a God that always was that loved us and created us, than to belive we came from an explosion that noone knows where that stuff came from. God just always was. If you can belivee the gasses just always were, why do you have to have proof in Gods existance.
Would you believe me when I told you that car just happened? OR would you know someone had to think about it , plan it and create it for you? OF course you would. Devil can sure get ppl to live in doubt and confusion huh? BUt we just keep praying more of you will know, because God loves you and so do we.

Dear Mr. Christ defender,
Frankly speaking it is easy to believe everything and anything. People are so gullible.
But to your question, it's not really difficult to believe that someone or something created us. Why? I can believe that the great Space Pumpkin created the universe with her magic leaves, that's not difficult. I can also believe that the Great Galactic Origami loves me and care for me. Is that difficult?
What is difficult to accept is if both entity does exist.
It's really not a question of believing. It's a question of existence.
