You should add bright touches of pink to the room! pink and green are nice together and make the room more eye popping. along with the pale green you should try chocolate furniture. It will give your room a more modern look. Hope i helped.

with the white cupboard maybe more a country charm look...blend white and natural wood accents throughout
sounds like its a pale celery green how about adding a valance to the window in pale green toile?
simple art with plant life as theme
add more colours using vases with red, blues and yellows in pale forms or earthen ware pottery with a n herb garden like mint, basiland parsley and chives
it doesnt all have to be pale green,Go to the paint store and pick up free swatches of colour and hold them up around the house to see what colour stands out

Dark midnight blue accents would look fab. I also agree with the former suggestion about deep, luxurious reds. Another color that would go great is a peachy orange. Try this color visualizer to mix & match colors & come up with something you like. Just click on "paint an interior," select a room and click & drag the colors to the picture.

You can use brick red, maroon, burgundy, cranberry..any of the deeper reds should be a great accent color. I'd stick with some golds or yellows as well, like for the light fixtures or framed artwork.
The site below may be able to help you more.
Enjoy! I love decorating...Just remember to have fun.

Try using a color wheel. There is a cool one at
http://realcolorwheel.com/realcolorwheel.htm
Green is not a primary color. Red, yellow, and blue are primary. The green may be more yellow or more blue. I think red goes nicely with a green that is yellow.
Try looking on the Better Homes and Garden website.

Let me know how it goes.

Try a country theme - japanese theme would be more red, black, and gold.
Flowered colors will be good, in any of several pretty colors.
Try:
white
pink/red
orange/peach
yellow/gold
light or bright blue
lavender or purple
