What is the best (for the money) photo editing software. Would like to get Adobe photoshop, my brother has it and doesn't it, but afraid to put it on my computer since he's already registered it. That is a problem right? He took it off his computer I think.

Photoshop is the best, but very expensive. You could probably install it again without any problems,

Best commerical package for the money is either Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop Elements (both under $100) which have 90% of the features of Photoshop.

GIMP is free, absolutely the most bang for your buck...

if he has the registration code he can legally install it on other computers....retail its $569 or something but if your a stucent go to www,cdwg.com and you canfind it cheaper and get 4 programs for about $380, search Adobe Creative Suite 3, Design Standard

If he took it off his computer, it's not a problem unless it's an OEM version that's only licensed for that computer. If he bought a retail version, he's allowed to sell it or give it away if he's not using it any more.

Its not legal but you should be alright. I just wouldn't register it again. I have never had a problem.
