I have no problem with Mexicans. Those who live their lives as productive and law abiding citizens of Mexico have my respect as do legal Mexican immigrants in my own country. I DO have a beef with the Mexican government which appears to be encouraging those who wish to illegally enter the USA. I also have a real problem with those who ignore our laws and come here illegally...work with forged or stolen papers and steal from our social services.

I'm sure you would have a problem with aliens who come to your own country and drain your social programs and bring wages down for the lower end of your pay scales. Most thinking people would. You would be angry if Americans broke your laws, stole services, demanded rights in your country and marched in your streets burning your flags and screaming threats in English. Wouldn't you?

I don't think people think that way in general about Hispanics. There is nothing wrong with Mexico or any of the people from there. I do know that American's (legal ones) are fed up with the illegal immigration problems and the fact that some people come here and demand rights that are not handed to them on a silver platter.
If the influx of illegal immigration was coming from Canada rather than Mexico, I think people would be saying all of these things about Canadians in general.

Hope that helped.

THere are good people and Bad people like all races. As for do I feel the same about Mexcians in Mexico as oppose to the ones in the US. I had a friend who does business in Mexico. He told me that the Mexicans in Mexico are different there compared to the ones here. He told me that he admires the traditional values of the Mexicans. Some of it is lost when they come to the US. I try not to judge the actions of those here as to those in Mexico. In Los ANgeles, the Mexican's are culturally frangmented. I see people exhibit a range of behaviors. That is not true in other cities. AS for my behavior. There are certain groups of Hispanics I am willing to interact, adn there are those who I avoid. Most of the elderly I get along, but there are groups that hate me for no reason. THe youth on the other hand I am more wary. What people in AMerica does sometimes is they see the bad ones first. THe good ones tend to be quiet and hide. If some one walks down the street and don't bother you, you probably won't remember them. If they walk down the street and harass you, you would remember. I think when some people here see the Mexican gangs and other youth oriented ne'er do well, they see it as a function of culture. They don't understand that it's actually a function of poverty. The poor work too hard, and are unable to supervise their children well, and they tend to grow up wrong.

Ma'am,,,There is no question that there are predudiced and racially motivated views that mold alot of peoples positions on that subject. But the Majority of us are just dismayed at the influx of people illegally entering our country. They are not just Mexicans, though the majority are. They are swamping our medical facilities at tax payer expense. They our swamping our schools at taxpayer expense. They are taking jobs that AMERICANS desperatly need at our citizens expense. They are sending billions of dollars to Mexico. That money should be in our economic system, but it's not,at our citizens expense. They are a small percentage of the population but a large percentage of our jails populations,at taxpayer expense.A study was done recently that 25 AMERICAN men, women and children are killed by illegal immigrants from violent crime and traffic crashes every day,,,EVERY DAY!!!!!!!These people died at the hands of people who should not have been here in the first place.Do you realize that means that more private citizens die here at the hands of illegal immigrants daily than American SOLDIERS do at war in Iraq!!!!!!Surely you can understand our anger and frustration. And rest assured. It's not all directed to You as a people. We recognize the parts that both our governments play.I have nothing against the Mexican people and wish no harm on any one nor do I harbor any ill will .I wish you well.

The vast majority of Mexicans who enter the USA are of the lower class. Of the many Mexicans who I've met, I can truly say that 9 out of 10 of them are very, very rude to me. And get this...I'm Mexican!

Both of my parents are direct descendants of Spaniards, and upon learning that, the old indian vs conquistador tension fires up...
Many assume that I am either white or some other type of latina and in turn they treat me like I'm some sort of snob.

Some have even berated me over my bad Spanish. (I work at a pharmacy where many Spanish speaking illegal Mexicans go, and they get an attitude with me because I prefer to speak English in AMERICA???)

HOWEVER, on my many visits to Mexico to visit my family, I have found the people there to be quite lovely. Especially in Pachuca, Hidalgo (I'm from there!). Mexico City is pretty scary but it does have many beautiful churches.

I think Mexicans are people with a great desire to work very hard for what they want.

I'm Hispanic American of Mexican descent and I have some family still living over there in Mexico City, and I visit them once in a while. I have friends in Mexico, they are cool, in college, having fun. what else should I say . . . ?

I don't have a problem with Mexicans. I do have a problem with illegal aliens who are breaking the law.

How would you, living in Mexico City, feel if 20 Million Americans crossed into Mexico illegally and started draining social programs like medical care, food stamps, etc?

you KNOW I like my Mexican highly spiced! Being of indian descent, I like alot of my meals, and ladies, highly spiced! When I consume mexican meals, I in general ask for a part of clean, sliced jalapenos. The pickled ones are well, however it is relatively now not highly spiced adequate. Also, it is foremost to don't forget, that mexican "spiciness" is not just "hotness" additionally it is as a result of spices akin to Chile de Arbol, Cumin, Paprika and garlic, And, with regards to hispanic ladies, all of them look highly spiced, from lovely mexican ladies, to revved up Venezuelan ladies to feisty Cuban ladies!

No, I have no problem with Mexicans in Mexico.

I have problems when in Houston the LARGER print on a sign in the store is IN SPANISH, and the SMALLER one is in English.

Are your signs like that in Mexico City? English the prominent language? I think not.

Do you have 1/5 of your TV and Radio stations in English? Probably not.

Mexicans do work hard for little money, they raise our standard of living, but they are not willing to adopt our culture. This makes me nuts. You can adopt our culture and STILL maintain your own. Millions of Poles in Chicago could show you how. I frankly want to lower my standard of living to the extent that Americans will be willing to do those nasty jobs and send the illegals home. Yes, some of them should be able to come, but not by the millions and certainly not illegally.
