Depends on what you are looking for. They are fundementally completely different.. And both are wonderful in their own way... If you want to get hit (and learn how to take a hit) Muay Thai.. If you are more interested in balance and flexibility and don't want to get hit (or really hit someone else for that matter) TKD... Against someone completely untrained in a real situation, after a few years of either you should be able to handle yourself (proper training of course).... Better ?.. why not both..

Taekwondo is the best. I was in MMA but didnt like it. I never really wanted to take MMA. And now I am back into Taekwondo.
I am getting ready to test for my next belt. I am a white belt. I have been training since last month. And now i am working on getting my next stripe. I have 3 red stripes and i am woking on my 1st black stripe.
I would recommend Taekwondo to anyone who wants to start Taekwondo and who doesn't know anything about the belt system, or which school to attend.
