YES. Striking similarity!

My response to this question is kind of yes and no. I used to live in a jewish neighborhood and as much as I loved the culture there, the politics drove me crazy. There was, in my opinion, a nearly blind support for Israel and the Israeli settlements in the west bank. In my experience, I saw very little sympathy, for instance, for palestinian children who were killed in the ongoing conflict. So in some sense, there are similarities.

But that could be said for a lot of groups and in a lot of situations. Look at the school children who are harrassed on their way to school in Northern Ireland.

So the No part is that I don't think Zionism is fueled by rage but more by a pragmatic view of things. And I do feel that Islamic radicalism is fueled more or less by blind rage and a desire to destroy.

I would also say that when you compare zionism to radical islam there really is no comparison in terms of which one is more overtly violent. So I would take zionism (which I see as more political than anything else) any day of the week.

Just my $0.02.

Ask the comparable question in the two faith and politics sections. It merely proves that the politics section is almost crammed with many perverts like the early ones who spoke back your question. I truthfully have researched into the "suicide bombing" phenomenon. the jap used Kamekazes throughout the time of WWII. Now, some Muslim extremists use a similar tactic of suicide bombings. the jap and Arabs do have one element in elementary, and that's the two of their cultures are severe context cultures. even even with the shown fact that they look and sound very diverse. Suicide bombings take place in situations of desperation. That substitute into whilst the jap have been dropping the warfare. so some distance as cutting-edge activities are in touch, the suicide bombers commonly come from damaging families. Injustice can convey approximately greater tragedies, which includes terrorism. Zionism so some distance as i comprehend is a political idealogy. No, it is not racist, even even with the shown fact that it is discriminatory. it is not unavoidably rapidly on the subject rely of the Jewish faith, and alter into in accordance with secular recommendations, notably much athiest. Believing that one had center eastern ancesteral ties to the Holy Land after hundreds of years, and that they could desire to return to the land, and confiscate it via stress, is absurd. If Arabs and "Zionists" quite needed peace, they could been residing jointly via now in one state the place there is equality and justice.

About the same similarity as being shot. By a Zionist; in the foot. By an Islamist; in the head. It is not a dichotomy, but a continuous similarity.

The Zionists were more intelligent and did not attack others in their own countries.

The only hope for the Arabs against Jews is the public opinion in the West. But all they do is bomb them. How stupid can they get !

As much as I see similarities in ALL Abrahamistic radicals.

ADD: So much of the personality of the Judaic religion was the search for the homeland. Like any top-heavy social organization, once they get their goals they must not be satisfied or they would have to settle down and live a normal life.

Define what you mean by Zionism and what you mean when you say Islamic radicalism?

Yes. They're both rooted in violent and murderous ideology. Jesus taught us to denounce such evil, and as Christians we are peace loving.

That's a pretty tenuous connection! Don't take it outdoors in a strong wind.

there is NO comparison.....

jews have not had a 1500 year old history of trying to destroy the muslims, the arabs have been trying to destroy Israel for thousands of years.

but because the jews have returned to Israel,,,,the muslims are after them again.
