Probably Christian fashions tend to be a little behind the rest of the community -- like about 50 years.
Actually, you may notice that a lot of the women have obvious moustaches too, as they tend to go for the natural look and many of them don't shave. It's considered something positive that they should be willing not to hide the fact that they've got a moustache.

Most that I know do not, in fact at my church it is about 20% that do that leaves a majority 80% that do not.

Because they like to hide things so they do that to hide a part of themselves from other people.
